Are you saying that the steering goes too far when you turn left? There should be a screw that goes through the upper and lower arms that act as a steering stop. Did it fall out?

There were those early on that didn't like the loud sound of metal on metal and found the plastic ring gear quieter. I have the pieces to do the conversion but could never figure out how the 2 diff halves stayed concentric with each other. With the stock setup, a bearing in the center lines everything up. With the plastic gear you are suppose to use a plastic spacer but it doesn't fit into the recesses of the metal outdrives so...... Asked that question on here but never got an answer. Is it worth doing? It depends if you want a quieter diff and if you have any problems with yours. As I said, my stock one works and I couldn't figure out how to get the mod to my liking (no wobbly misaligned diff halves). Maybe I'm just stupid.

Btw No offense taken. If I didn't answer you question feel free to ask again.

Hello, I picked up a HPI Cup Racer to start playing around with. Should hopefully be some good times!
Running with a Tekin RS Pro, Castle 4600 motor and a DS1015 servo.

On to the pictures!

Hello everyone,

I am new to the cup racer and need some help. Does the stratos body fit over standup front shocks? I want to order this body, but looking at the pictures it seems marginal. If it doesn't fit, what other body would you recommend? I have the Levin body but want to keep that as a shelf queen.

Thanks,
Daniel

wheelbase 210mm for the Strato body. laydown shocks on the front. Body is low slanting nose style.

Thanks superspeed, I have already found the wheelbase and wheel offset, and was hoping for a standup shock confguration; laydown seems more sloppy So what would be a good body for standup shocks? Maybe Porsche or 240z?

Just finished fixing mine up a few days ago. Got it cheap on ebay with the front diff not working, a few spares later and I have a CR . Love that dato body.

Still needs an LED kit, but that can wait.
