I doubt it will be competitive. Even my TA03R is setup for RGT right now and I don't think I have a chance. I'll be running it for fun though.

If any of you guys have a 03F you'd like to sell, shoot me a PM...Sold my cars a couple years back in favor of more "competitive" models (RCLab, Yokomo) but they were never as fun to drive...miss the good ol' TA03F...

I converted my WRC Corolla into RWD. All I did was remove the drive cups and dog bones from the front. It's much more fun to drive now but more difficult because the rear end slides very easily especially with a low turn modified motor.

The TA03 is very special because it took Tamiya to the top of professional level competition. It has a true racing heritage.

its the same part... tamiya has this annoying habit of labeling parts differently in the manual and on the packets... so any original part gets labeled SP??? instead of the original 50???...

So your SP604 IS 50604

Well I'm still enjoying my TA03 and plan on building another with this GPM graphite chassis. I might actually hop-up everything with GPM parts.

well i built my TA03F, it's great! i found heaps of belts for it aswell and now have 4 spares, havnt even needed to use one in over a year of useage though. heaps of parts on ebay if you search the right way. scored the TA03F frp chassis set from the UK for it, and a whole heaps of bits from jr-rc..

i use it for drifting with a ezrun 5.5 combo. here's a vid:

Is anyone out there running the 03 in any on road racing ? I have 3 of these but have never run them. I'm curious how it performs against more modern chassis. It might do well in Vintage Trans Am.

ebay is usually your best source. If you got a pic of it, I can tell you what chassis it is. The TA03R had the motor just in front of the rear axles, and the TA03F had the motor in front of the front axles.
