Has anyone tried running the 415 without sway bars? A friend has the Tech MY02 Monster and told me that most people do not run sway bars on the MY02. So I tried it tonight and the car was so much better (in an indoor technical track). The car used to push a little and now it has as much side bite but with much more steering.

Hi All,
Finally managed to get the rear end of my car sorted!
Carbide balls has certainly made the diff smoother but I found that reducing the EXPO to -30 on my transmitter has transformed the the car from undriveable to being only 2 secs off the leaders after 4mins race And for me, thats awesome
The only thing I can think of is our really low grip surface and the addition of the .06sec Sanwa servo I am running produced too much instant steering for the rear end to handle.
So happy to finally have it sorted
One thing I've been thinking about is what would happen if
I removed the spacers under the bridges of the rear suspension?
Are they there to increase or decrease rear end grip?

well, if you are talking about the aluminum suspension mounts, takingt out spacers in the rear will give more traction, generally...

No the Newer EVO4/415 Sus conversion Axles are different.. the new Ti ones will be out on the 25 of Aug.

I can only find the Gold and Silver over here in the uk at the moment, I assume the Gold is softest, with Silver being hardest (of the three)? How do they compare to the Tamiya springs (ie is AE Blue similar in stiffness to Tam Yellow) ?
Your using these with the EvoIV suspension though, right? Does that make any difference to the spring rate? or is it just a case of more options on mounting? I should be getting my set soon enough, although I don't think I'll use it straight off, but at least it means I don't have to shell out for the Alu rear hubs.
(Maybe I can stop spending money soon, along with the MRT-VX Pro I brought this week, gonna be a big CC bill this month...)
Finally I have one, more open question.
Having run the car at the weekend with stock wishbone mounts, I've now changed it to D/D on the rear (2deg toe with std hubs, right?) and C/A on the front (I brought the front A mount when I got the car). What sort of affect will this have on the car? I rember reading somewhere on here that the narrower front end (due to C/A) gives it more steering, whilst also providing -1 deg of inboard toe out.
How does this inboard toe-out affect the car? I assume it will affect it when the car has the suspension loaded, as otherwise it would be no different to the standard set-up right? (I usually run with 0 deg toe anyway).
