LRP Vector x12 Brushless Motors

45m straight in to sweeper sounds like my track?
I have found a setting that likes to let the motor rev, but that is with a Tekin Pro.
I gear at 9.0:1 (85/17) with an Mi4, using the 12.25 rotor on 4dots.
I am quick out of corners and still have the speed, just as well as I cant afford new tyres at moment so am using ones others dispose off, which have often done 6 or more runs before I get them.

It is
I know the Tekin's like to be geared down alot but not sure about the LRP Stock Spec V2 or if the X12's like to rev, I heard they like to be geared up
I might be able to get to the track tomorrow afternoon so I'll try gearing way down.

Correct Position of shims & o-ring on the rotor
Hello guys,
I dissambled the motor just to have a look inside. I notice that my motor comes with 2 shims and 1 o-ring, whereas the diagram in the manual and LRP website show only 1 shim and 1 o-ring. Why is that possible?
If my motor comes with 2 shims, should the correct assemble order be Shim,Shim, O-ring or Shim, O-ring, Shim?

If your o-ring its damaged, i found a replacement cheaper than LRP, HPI #75077, fits perfect, and works good

I heard from a usually reliable source that an X-12 13.5 with the 4 dot insert has 30 degrees of static timing. Hard to believe, True? If so, how much advance can you program into your ESC for 1/12TH? Medium size track about 30 foot straight.

I have 3 X12's, two 17.5's and a 4.5 non-octa, and all three have a small gap where the two halves of the can meet after I disassembled and cleaned them. It's very small and doesn't seem to affect the way any of them run (like hell ) but it's annoying and I know something isn't put together right. It's gotta be something simple that I'm missing!

I have an X12 10.5 T motor and was just finished servicing the motor. I opened the motor with true care and it seems that the motor does not have any o-ring. I find it everywhere thinking the o-ring might have dropped somewhere but no o-ring was found. What is the possibility that the o-ring has disintegrate that eventually left the shim on it own?and should it be ok if different o-ring can be used to replace the standard one?

@flatspunout: the narrow gap between the two case halves is normal and supposed to be there, don't worry.
The reason is that we want to clamp the stack and as the stack laminates have some tolerances the gap isn't exactly the same on all the motors but it's always there...
@rai: the X12 StockSpec doesn't have an o-ring, so you did not loose anything... only the modifieds have this o-ring.

Really? But the manual shows the diagram of the motor assembly with the o-ring. Doesn't state the stock spec came without the o-ring. But if it is true, then i have no worries and can run the motor for practice session..yeeehhaaaa....
