Default News from the Long Beach Grand Prix /Tamiya and HPI booth

I took these photos while taking to Tamiya executives and after at the HPI booth.

It's Confirmed! The F104 it's a reality and will make it's debut at the Japan fair this year, it will come with the 2009 F1 body, so start saving

Here are some photos of the Tamiya F103RM and R, plus the HPI F1 electric 1/10, it has the 2008 F1 body.

Thumbs up Manual?

Really nice thread.

It made me want to assemble my old F1, the Jordan Ford (an F 101 I think?). I raced it in Denmark around '94-'95 (I'm not sure exactly when it was, but Tamiya Denmark arranged races for a couple of years), and I think it would be nice to try it on the track once again.

But I don't have the manual anymore. Is there somewhere you can download old manuals from? I have looked at Tamiya.com, but they only have newer manuals for download.

Another Q. Can I use F103 parts on my car - I really could use a new body and wings, so I would be nice if I could buy these F103 parts?

Thanks for a chance to revive my old F1 passion

Cheers,
Peter

Tamiyaclub has manuals for the older Tamiya cars. Check the model data base.I belive you are talking about the Jordan 191

http://www.tamiyaclub.com/car.asp?id=103
This is an F102,if your chassis is like this you can use some parts from the F103 on the chassis.

You can use some currently made bodies on the F102 but most are Ebay items. Front wing can be a problem as they are mounted a little different on the F103 but rear wings shouldnt be a problem.
You might just want to get a new F103 as you need a body and wings so you most likely need a set of tires also. Those parts alone just about add up to a new F103.
You can get parts here.

There are other places also if you look through the thread but most are not F1 based.
Good Luck

The New Tech Chassis is nice. I like this one better than all the others that are coming out. With the TRG a second.

If you buy the Tech Chassis be sure to get the optional spring steel bars as its the only way to tune the roll of the rear pod.

Default Old cars....

Att:bakaguyjean

Thanks a lot for the info. Hopefully I can find a manual on the webpage you referred to.

It seems that there are plenty of spareparts to get, so I imagine that that won't be a problem for me.

I took a couple of shots of my car (quite a contrast to the beautiful cars in this thread ), just to show what I'm now going to try to restore to its former glory

Cheers,
Peter

Default Decals for F-1

For scale F-1 decals from many era's try Bruce Patto from Austrailia @ http://members.optushome.com.au/pattosplace/ I have done business with Bruce for many years and he makes an excellant product with prompt shipping on a custom made product.

Nice decals, but $46 just for some 1/10 scale F1 decals seems a little high

Perhaps, but as always we usually get what we pay for.
