Don't forget that RC F1 Lab sells the WRC F180, which isn't well known here but a quality kit. They also sell the Fenix Racing trailing link chassis (similar, but not identical to the other link chassis) for both the F180 and the Tamiya cars.

Fenix-Racing is happy to announces our partnership with DitoDito Racing in the name of Alessandro Rossi Celso ( a well known company manufacturing in 1/5 F1 and GT big scale) for the supply of their bodies.

So... time for some teasing pictures...

The above pic is a good teaser as well for Fenix Racing's innovative rear suspension. Both their I.mola and Su.zuka chassis feature this and other interesting innovations. Check them out. F1rclab.com carries them!

@Giorgio,
This looks like a low-nosed body in the F104 wheelbase. Can you tell me if I'm right?

Questions for those running Pit tyres...

1) 572 Hard rears, anyone utilise a different insert to the stock one? All thoughts/opinions are welcome
2) 577 F3 fronts... how do these stack up in relation to 571's and 573's? harder/softer (appreciate they are a different compound though)
3) has anyone tried the Tunng Haus softer front inserts yet? What are the benefits? more steering?

Cheers
Ed

I miss the outdoor F1 races right now. To make it easier until the weather allows to go outside, I took time to tune my F104v2. It can now use touring car tires front and rear and can be 180mm to 200mm wide. As I wait for Manny to announce the Lotus 72 body, all conversations have the use of 70s bodies as target. For now the Brabham BT45 has to do it:

for anyone interested, we will be running F1 at the mile high indoor champs in april at 5280 raceway in lakewood (denver) colorado. f1 rules are 21.5 blinky, 2s, 190 mm max width, open tire, 1050 min weight. the class will be run just like another class with 4 full 5 minute qualifiers, and triple a main. no pit stops. we have a very strong contingent of local f1 guys and the class is growing quickly. other classes are 17.5, 13.5, and mod for both 1/12 scale and sedan, and world gt.

for more info, check out the race website at www.milehighindoorchamps.com or hit up either the 5280 raceway thread in the colorado section of the regional forum, or the mile high indoor champs thread here in the electric on road section.

hope to see all of you there.

My personal experience is with the F103 sized Pits (541,543,547)... can't say how direct a comparison they are but on the tracks I've run (Toowoomba, Logan, WAMRC) I've found the 547 F3 tyres to be similar in grip to the 543 but a little more consistent over the longer runs, with maybe just a tiny bit more understeer when cold...

I've also read a couple of times that the F104 sized Pits are a little gripper overall than the F103 sized so it might not work out like that

Probably not helpful at all

I try go on the path for the 2014 F1, so it will be mid-low nose.

But.....

There is more... "vintage" racing is having some appeal to many drivers.

While there are the super nice Manny's bodies covering the "Golden Age"...
there will be some thing for the "Eighties" boys...

just a sneak pic
