Glad you posted that Marty! My favorite F1 car!!
I want to make mine as close to that as possible. ABC Hobby USA has side mirrors that look just like the real ones; and I want to duplicate the rear suspension stays, as well as the rear exhaust. Also, the radiator line along the left side of the car. I even hope to duplicate the spark plug wires!

F104 Nitro Build
Here a couple of pics of my "home made" F104 nitro build. I was working on this when Manny came out with the VF1 body and I robbed the chassis to make my Lotus.
I looked into getting the Kyosho but cost (shipping) here in USA is too high for me. I have a SPADA and never could get anybody to race with that either. I have a F104 "on the way" from a buddy so hopefully I can get back and finish up the details on the nitro. The exhaust will be the most fun...

I also had some fun a few years ago with a 1/10 nitro build! that never came to the forefront, there was also a cool nitro build two brothers did that was outstanding, I did try to buy the prototype and the rights for it back in the day they wouldn't sell it & never finished it. I think it was called the DSE nitro F1 maybe.
I always wanted to buy another Kyosho F1 1/8 scale McLaren but never got a chance I would have love to see that car come back or even turned into a 1/10 scale car!

If anyone Has a Kyosho FX-1/8 Electric or Nitro F1 For Sale please let me know!
Parts, Cars, Anything, Thank You.

Today I found the time to continue the work on my F160 body.
I did the colouring and put the body parts together:
I still need a driverhead, exhausts and mirrors. "Team Lotus" can you give me the product number of the side mirrors you found?
By the way: who wants to make intake trumpets should look at a 1$ store for a pen set of four (should be 1$, take two ) and then just use the tips.
Next week I will make some stickers to round this thing up.
