I thought the same thing at first, but if you look closely you will see that the non scale suspension can be swapped out in favor of a Tamiya front suspension.
Will be interesting to see the price point on this one.

It is compatible with a 104 front end

Not so nice with the pan car front end

Nice new addition to the class, traditional Direct Drive

I want to get one of these and I was looking at the HPI F10. What is the size limit on motors? I want to make a top speed machine!

Maybe if they change the front suspension...that's going to look nasty outside of the nose.

F1 cars are fairly fragile due to them being open wheeled. If you want something for speed that is similar I'd suggest a normal pan car rather than a F1...but only if you have a surface with good grip. If you are just blasting up and down the street you will find direct drive cars are quite a handful. For street blasting get a 4wd car.

While I personally don't care much about the scale looks, I do think they could have easily made that front end looking scale by moving things inward with longer arms like Serpent seems to have done on their upcoming F1 car.

Meh.
It looks nice. As long as it uses tamiya style tires I don't see an issue. As far as scale looks, it won't be that noticeable going around the track.

Smooth surface with good grip and you can get going really fast. The problem is in controlling it.

Does anybody know of any lipo packs that will fit in a stock F103 battery holder? Dimensions seem to be about 45mm x 134mm at the most.
