Some people say that a larger gear for a spur is better. I have a hard time believing this. As a gear ratio is a gear ratio is a gear ratio. If the number is the same, the "leverage" is the same... The only advantage I see is the motor placement.

motor placement and no, larger radius gears will have less friction. kinda the same concept as pulleys but not so pronounced.

Hey Kevin, you gonna be at Rain City Wednesday? I'm trying to decide between a 61 and a 58 tooth spur. What combo would you suggest for that track. Also why don't you come run with us? We are trying to improve our skill for TCS in August and could definately use your help.

Chris, where the hell were you! I was there, I ran four of my own cars, and I think 6 cars of other people. The 58 was good. I ran a 19t with a gm3 at30, and purples. Brostrom was there, what happened to you ;(

brain, Not much is needed. I would recomend uni's, and the black o/d with the ring. Those are the critical items "needed" on top of that go drive the crap out of it.

Kevin-got anymore used cars I can buy HAHAHA!! Actually its not that funny-maybe I'll try and make three TCS races next year. Both World of Hobbies and Trackside and Nats. The layout at WoH was pretty tight with slow corners and chicanes. It was a really good track for the Ta04 with the Toyota short body.

THANKS,
Ray

Nats? Nats? Ray I'm telling you you gotta come out here. You should see the condo I am working on for the Seattle crew this year. Nothing but Pacific for the view and 10mins to the track. I'll count you in just say the words.......

I couldn't make it last week. Our baby is due in 4 weeks so I need to keep the wife happy. I'll be there this week. If you come please bring me a bill so I can take care of it. I bought the Evo III Suirakarn (SP?) upgrade from Shane so the car should be ok. Now I just need to set it up correctly. Does anyone have a good TB02 setup sheet? If so please e-mail it to me.

Default Reversible lt/ wt. suspension

Hey all,

So whats the damage to buy the whole reversible suspension set-up to graft onto a tb02/evoIII?

Also-has track testing shown any big gians in performnace over the evoIII suspension system? LIke a pretty concrete 0.2 or 0.3 per lap advantage?

EDIT:Also-what is suspension mount X?

Thanks,
Ray

Ray, I know speedtech has the LW set, I think for $79. Everyone I had talked to always said the LW set sucks for carpet, don't use it, use the old arms, and then Mike Lack laid it down with hiw 415MS with the LW arms. So I guess to answer your question, it all depends on how decent of a setup you can get under the car.

I am pretty sure the X mount is a 415 mount.

Hmmm-I was just thinking though-the LW suspension is not TCS legal on a tb02 in GT2 is it?!

Thanks for the price. $79 is not bad.

It wasn't initially legal in gt2 because there were different parts needed to convert the TB/TA. But now that there's a whole conversion kit out just for those two cars, it's legal.
