and finally... the BLUE lightweight shaft is 2mm longer than the evoIII lightweight shaft AND has the fatter bevel ends. this shaft is 4mm longer than the original evoIII shaft.

if possible, pick up the blue version. ill post the part # when i get home later.
I don't think the Blue shaft is available by itself. I think i came with the EVO III blue conversion kit #49335, If it is available by itself though I would love to get it.

thats old school. the one in the conversion kit is still too short and has the smaller tapered end. you want the one above

I have a couple questions on the TB-02:

Are the kit tires (slicks), Tamiya "Type A", "Type B", junky kit tires, or something else?

Is adding rear toe-in recommended. My Associated TC-3 has I think 3 degrees rear toe-in, as far as I can tell the TB-02 has 0.

My specific model is the Nissan Xanavi. The TB-02, not the TB-02R.

Thanks.

The kit tires are just that, kit tires not A's or B's.

So, are "just kit tires" somewhat useless, not worth saving for a TCS race, etc. Are they decent?

What about the rear toe in, any opinions?

Thanks.

you don't have to throw away the kit tires just save them, put nice rims and save it for the TCS concourse. and about the rear toe-in you can change the toe-in by putting different blocks B,C, or D. you will see the difference when you try it.

Thanks. What rear toe in blocks are recommended for the typical carpet road course?

Is a B = 1 degree, C = 2 degree, etc. or something else??

i'll probably go w/ less toe-in, due to (carpet) has a lot of traction.

Thanks, but I'm gonna keep asking questions.

What's "less" toe-in? 0 or 1 degrees?

Am I correct that in stock form the TB-02 has 0 degrees toe-in in the rear?

If you have the old suspension, then your rear toe out of the box will be 2 degrees. The way tamiya blocks work are very simple. A block is 0 degrees,
b block is .5 degrees and so on. So, if you've got two A blocks in the rear with the old suspension, your total toe will be 2 degrees. Change the rear block to a B block and you will have 2.5 degrees and so on.

hey juan. whats up dude I do need to step in and say the stock uprights on both the new and old suspension is 1 deg. The old suspension has a 2 deg hard version, and both a standard and hard plastic 1 deg. The old and new suspension also have a 1 deg alloy availaible, and the additional 0 deg upright for the new lt/wt suspension. You can add or take away by using different susp pin mount blocks. the plastic are "a"'s and then you have the whole range a - e, each higher letter adds .5 deg per side.
