any of you guys actually done the conversionb yet? i am in the process of it as we speak. i am waiting on the rear axle and front swing arm set from rcmart.

3 things needed...

3Racing (#F103RM-10) Front Suspension For F103RM USD$15.50
3Racing (#F103RM-09) Knuckle Arms For F103RM USD$11.50
3Racing (#F103RM-01/LB) Differential Housing For F103RM USD$17.90

F103GT plus $50 shipped.

this is all that you will need to convert a F103GT to a F1 racer.

misc items incluse body and wings, but no chassis, lower deck, upper etc are required.

there are a few things you need to take into consideration.
1) F103GT kingpins are longer and hold at thte top and bottom keeping the top control arm attatched. if you go with a f103lm pingpin, it is much shorter. and does not connect at the top causing the top control arm to become detatched. the 3 racing arm setdoes 3 things, 1) it connects top and bottom so you can use F103GT on LM, LM on GT w/ no issues. 2) it can adjust castor. 3) you can adjust camber.
**this is the ONLY part that will allow you to adjust camber on this car!

2) the F103LM knuckle has a cylindrical portion that allows the use for a bearing or bushing. if you try this on the GT, it wont fit, will wobble and be horrible to drive on.

3) the Hexes are much larger on the F103LM than the GT. that is why the rear wheels wont fit. the only way to fix this is to get the LM rear axle set.

it is not cheaper to buy an LM, you will end up hopping up the LM anyways with these parts.

If you have a GT convert it, if you have none, Get a LM.

D Drive Sport just released a new body by Tech - does anyone have any experience with it?

Looks pretty good aside from the bland nose. I really don't like INTEGRATED nose cones. I am still trying to find the best body and I think the best one is still the Chevron IMO.

What do you guys think? Only $35 with Tech wings!

Whats the best tire compound to run on indoor carpet (Ozite).
What compounds comes in the RM kit?
When I installed the tires I used the supplied 2-way tape. I should be able to remove the foam and save the rims, right?

The 84032 comes with the "L" type high nose body/wing set. This is to my knowledge not discontinued.

The 84031 comes with the "T" type low downforce body and is discontinued.

The 49498 kit was the "M" body kit and being a "4" or limited is also discontinued.

the RM comes with medium rears and soft fronts. If the ozite is real high grip and abrasive, switch to mediums or hards. The soft fronts stick real nice until they wear out though. The rear tires showed virtually no wear.

is that the rule of thumb with foamies? abrasive= stiffer foam to make the tires last longer?

i run on a non-prepped surface that is pretty smooth.
