apparenly, it can make or break ur steering to an extent. i did what aurra did on his set up, tried it on the track, and i hav awesome steering/handling. my car is planted to the ground. I still feel it could be a little more dialed in. but right now, my car is pretty glued to the track.

Can you tell me what is this set-up?

basically i have..

front upper links: 1mm
rear upper links : 5mm

FF: 0.7mm
FR: 2mm

RF: 3mm
RR: 2mm

outer most hole for shock body positions. i think i might move a hole in or two. see how the car runs with those setups. but right now, the car seems pretty dialed in at my track. peaches.

Thanx!

What my problem is I understand the end result but I am lost with the details.
Therefore my question is:What happens if I put small or large spacers to the front and the same changes go to the back?

Note that reflekt's setup is for an asphault track (So Cal.)

I heard a lower roll center (less spacers overall) is optimal for carpet, but I still haven't tried carpet personally.

A higher roll center in the rear (more spacers in rear) will give you more mid-corner steering, gentle turn-in. Higher roll center in front will give you more turn-in.

Default Tamiya inc.

Anyone got an e-mail adress for them

support section would be great

checked all my hindge pins etc and i still can,t sort out the rear tow-in

i,ve checked it and checked it again and it,s still 2 deg on 1 side and 3 on the other

i now feel completely sure it,s gotto be a chassis drilling fault however unlikely it is !!

On a car costing this much i must say i,m more than alittle disapointed

right now, i only have a few spacers underneath the suspension blocks. i'm going to add more and increase the height, for the roll center later on. but that requires dremeling/shaving of the rear arms a little bit. but for now, this setup is good to me. i'm sure if i did increase the height, it would give me even better handling. some guys at the track have their blocks high on spacers. some 5mm/4mm and some even 6mm/4mm (Rear). peaches.

The higher you raise the blocks the more it decreases traction, to a point, be carefull on the front cuase the belt will hit the block.

This is why you flip the block over so the belt passes under the block.....
Only do this when it is at a height around the "true" worlds setup...
