i'd be really really curious to see some realtime rpm data on my car (or others) as when i was playing on gearchart and calculating rpm/mph our cars are pretty easily getting upwards of 25000 rpms on most tracks.. why is all the boost recomended to come in so early? hopefully i'll get more time to tune and play before the next race, but i'm curious to see what setting the high end much higher will do and adding the turbo on at the very end of the rpm range.. anyone try this yet?

I'm getting the settings I want, not disconnecting the Hotwire, closing and reopening after appling settings and the settings are not being saved

This is what I understand (and I may be wrong). When you pull the throttle from stand still, you are only using motor timing. As soon as the motor reaches the "Start rpm" the speedo begins to add your preset timing boost until it reaches the "end rpm". At that time, (after the turbo delay) the turbo begins to advance timing at the "ramp" rate that you've selected. A wider rpm range will increase timing at a slower rate. A narrow rpm range will increase timing at a more rapid rate but at the expense of excess heat buildup.

I thought that turbo was still based off of time at full throttle, and the start and end RPM's were just to determine how long it takes to get to your maximum timing, as to not add too much timing too soon.

Like I said, I may be wrong. The delay is optional down to "0" now, so I doubt that the turbo is applied before the timing boost is allowed to kick in. If the timing boost is waiting for a preset RPM and the turbo comes in based on throttle position, it seems they would fight each other.

The rpm settings affect ONLY the timing boost, period. Setting these too low or too high can have adverse effects of course.

In general places to start:

TC 13.5 : 3,500/12,500
1/12 17.5: 1,000/7,000
Offroad 13.5: 3,500/20,000

These are my personal experiences. I of course would change these based off driver input and track settings/conditions.

This is why our team got this software first. I will be compiling the team setups and posting them on the website as soon as I can guys.

So, my suggestion is to ditch turbo(for now) and add 10 degrees of motor timing. This is how I run quite a bit, as I prefer a bit of motor timing. I'll be testing again as soon as the local track dry's up a bit.

I've edited some of my posts after reading them. Sometimes it sounds good when you're typing, but doesn't really say what you meant.

Default timing

I did not know that the rpm settings only effect the TIMING BOOST and not the TURBO....wow..u learn something new every minute here...or am i wrong!?!?!?

As I go 10500 -5000 I think that I will have more power in the infield
I will try it tomorrow.
I'd start with 30000-7000. Without any software timing, A 10.5 with 12 degrees should have good torque up to about 10k rpm. Timing should start somewhere there. And end timing at 30000rpm is ok too as its no where near its max revving potential.

Just remember that too much timing reduces torque, and too little timing reduces revs. Find the balance.

I believe you'll be one of the first to find the right setup. Most people here simply thinks timing = power. The fact is timing should be added where REQUIRED.
