What base setup should I start with so that the power comes on as smooth as possible throughout the rev range. The reason why I want smoothness is that any sudden boost in power will throw the rear end out especially through sweepers and long turns.

Setup:
Speedy: Tekin RS
Motor: Tekin 17.5 (0 Timing)
Car: Corally F1
Battery: IP 5000 50C

Timing boost:
Turbo:
Ramp:
Delay:
Start:
End:
FDR:

Thanks in advance.
Anyone?

is there anyway to buy the latest TP sensor board only? I would like to upgrade..

Anyway, how to determine whether it is new sensor board or old one? It is hard to request LHS to open the endbell and decide want to buy or not...

Having some issues with my new RS and a Novak Ballistic 13.5 in my B4. Having some cogging issues. When everything is cold (first pack of the day), it coggs. Once it warms up everything is fine. Had a Novak SS and since the sensor wire is fixed, I assumed it was that and bought a Ballistic, same issue. Zeroed the motor timing and zeroed the timing boost on the Hotwire. Running 203 and am at a loss for words. Love the RS in my TC, not so much in the buggy...

Wow that is some narrow lanes! If the grid squares are even close to being accurate then the lanes are just barely over 4ft wide.

The drawing is not to scale, it's just to give a rough idea. The width of the track is actually 2-2.5m wide.

Default Newby Help

Hi All,
Installed a Tekin RS and Hacker 17.5 into the E4 and raced on Tuesday night
Need some help with the setup, current setup is as follows

Drag Brake 20
Rev strength 100
Brake Strength 100
Neutral Width 56
Motor Type BL-FW
Throttle Profile 3
Voltage Cutoff 2
Push Control Off
Timing Boost 40
Turbo Boost 10
Turbo Delay 0.1
Sensored (checked)
ESC Model RS Beta
Current Version 203
Start RPM 2950
End RPM 13996
Turbo Ramp 2.0

Was running Protek 5000MaH 40C LiPO's
I was running an FDR of 7.97 which equated to a rollout of 25.4mm
Running on a med-large track with a 15-20m main straight(45-60ft)
Car lacked some punch as well as lacking some top speed
Motor never got above 50 deg C (120 deg F)

Any help greatly appreciated

I ran on a track with a similar straight length 2 weeks ago, the rest of the layout was 180's with short shoots between them. Change these settings and I think you will feel the difference instantly

Neutral Width : 10
Timing Boost : 50
Start RPM : 5000ish
End RPM : 15000ish
Turbo Delay : 0.0

these motors are not used to being run with that high fdr. without a timing esc you would gear them to about 4.0 to get it quick. wel when geared to almost 8.0 it takes some time to spool up... try running like a way heavier setup. something like 6.0 then try again. a higher gearing does not directly mean a higher acceleration. then also you will get a higher temperature which you ofcoarse have to keep an eye on. i noticed this big difference with my epic nemesis 13.5 gearing them real high so that on the end of the straight they would peak out like we used to do with the brushed. with all the timing advances on this end peak would be way to far and goes way beyond the motors intended power band. getting back from 8 to say 6 brings the motor back in its intended power band and wil get you more punch.
