What advantage does a damper tube setup have over the mono shock. Seems to work fine for me.
I only fiddle with it like once/week to make sure there is no air in it. |

Some people tell me they are more consistant but i dont see how. Seems more fiddly to fill the damper tubes right, getting just the right amount in each groove vs fill mono shock to top and otherwise build like a nomral shock.
In other news, anyone have suggestion for 12r5 settings for outdoor soda spray track? Pretty much happy with the car indoors. Kit settings with a few minor adjustments for the most part but never raced pancars outdoors. Club wants to run open 12th scale. Since i cant afford wgt just yet maybe ill try this and buy the 5.2 conversion next indoor season. Track is ashphalt parking lot. Semi Smooth but has bumps from parking lines and general weathering. |

More pod droop/sag, ride height for bumpy tracks |
Take the spacer out of the main shock? We run crc greylow rear and black front. Soft for outdoors but would they overheat? Thinking of running 6.5-8.5 or even just 10.5 cause im kinda new still.
Still cant handle my nitro sedan well yet ha. |

hey, im no expert lol. first year of touching a real rc car EVER and im 30.
just seems like you would want to either take the spacer out or put a smaller one in. more droop yes, makes sense, but is it really more when the shock still has the same limited travel cause of the spacer? im sure when i thread it as told ill feel like an idiot though lol. not 100% sure about doing this outdoor mod 12th thing. i still tap every few laps indoor 17.5. |

New kit?
I cannot longer find the 12r5.1 kit on rc10.com. Anyone know if a new release is just around? One lad at the club is in for a new car;)

http://www.teamassociated.com/cars_a.../Factory_Team/ Tower has the kit with lipo chassis upgrade in stock still http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...4&I=LXCBLM&P=K |
Based on what I saw @ the Carpet Nats, Id assume there is a new kit coming out for when the indoor season starts up again this fall. Just speculation of course...

[QUOTE=RedBullFiXX;10548829]Looks like there is something in the works, as the 12R5.1 is discontinued at area51
Probably something new coming then:nod: Anyway, buggy-season starts in one month, so no rush I guess. What will be in the new kit?. Damper-tubes, better weight alignment(or battery positions), linear side-springs, or just inline-config in kit... Hope there will be some backward compatibility... |
