I was wondering...how long has it been since Team Associated has not had a 1/12th scale in its stable? We're about a month and counting, aren't we? This just doesn't feel right :(

I hope we see the 12R5.2, or the 12R6, or whatever, very soon

Who currently has the best price on a 12R5.1? Anyone know?

valk 05-17-2012 12:04 PM

Thinking of running my 5.1 a few times outdoors in a mod class. I have an 8x1 brushed setup i got for $20. Any suggestions for a rollout with 45mm crc tires? More worried about gear combos that fit cause ill have to buy gears.

I bought the online kit and have the 5.1 chassis and all carbon fiber parts including standoffs, ft brace, bottom/top pod, rear brace and battery stop. Obviously I don't need it anymore having the inline kit so 20 dollars including shipping to first come first serve.

Recomended Roll-out

Hi
I am running a 12r5.1 on a Hobby Wing 1s speedo and Hobbywing 10.5 in blinky mode. Track is large with lap times around 11 sec average, can someone recomend a rollout start point for me please.

Finally got my inline going at Norcal and actually had a little fun :D

Running a LRP Stock/Spec with Reedy 4.5 and 1 boost and it's plenty fast

44mm Ft. 46mm Rr with 30/96

.020
Green sides 25wt
Blue top 30wt
1.5 camber
0 Toe
3.75mm all around
Magenta all around
1+mm Rear .5mm Ft

I think next time I'll try Double Pink fts or maybe Pink Rear cause seemed to have too much steering or not enough rear bite but it's kinda not bad for first time out

12th is so fast ...lol

Anyone else racing inline car on asphalt? Setups?

Also what wire are people running 14/16? I'm asking cause it seemed to have a tweak to the right and I couldn't really figure out where the tweak was :( Too thick wire 14g?

Thanks

Looking at that picture I'd say there isn't enough slack in your wire. Even thin wire will tweak the pod if there isn't enough slack.

I'm interested to hear others' thoughts on asphalt with the inline car as well. I just bought a new kit (just needed a refresh) and it came with the inline conversion free. I wasn't going to use it though, as asphalt is the majority of big race meets I do, and I've just got all my set-ups sorted for the latitudinal car. But I'm thinking about it. Should I or shouldn't I?

My 12r5.1 w/ lipo conversion.

Going to have its first outting on low traction asphalt next Sunday. Should be interesting, running a 4.5 turn motor.

I've previous run a 12r5 and 12r5.1.

I'd try the inline cause it might be fun to get a setup for it. I'm gonna save up for some different tires and try other changes. Let us know what works

Even Steve Tzuruda is selling his...lol

I'm gonna test tomorrow maybe. Would rather have Double pink and pinks to trys alongside my mag's but whatever, I'll test those tires another day

Later Dude

@12th scalers

Still have that brand new 5.1 chassis with all graphite parts for $20. Using inline, no use to me

I know that Norcal Hobbies removed their indoor carpet track and installed a dirt off-road track.
