Hmm, having some problems with my E4 (the first version) it is al updated, with the French Lightweight spool in delrin front , Xray CVDs and som special belts in rear and front.

to the Q: i bought some plastic pulleys for the side-belt...but it wont fit, the belt is so (how ya say it?) HARD, that i can bearly move it with my hand, and i was forced to use real powa to get it on..this wont go, so i have to get back to alu side pulleys again...is the side belt diff on the other E4 cars? let me know

Yes, this is true, but after 10-12 packs the car are more free up. I have a good setup base for rubbers in asphalt, the car have a good aceleration and is more easy to drive with a quit pass trought curves.
Here is my setup, i like if someone probe it, i would like to comment on the good things and bad, of course.
In other hand, i talk with Patrick Jasmin (JPproducts) for make a front spool, more light, i think the car will be even faster with it.

Wanna see a lot of development on this car.

Well my Xray T2R has been very good to me and I wouldn't have minded spending $200 on another one to have a chassis for a second class... but since you can't get them, a T2 is still $340 and the '008 is way out of my price range; I went with the Team Magic E4JS. Definately a cool looking car. It shipped yesterday and I am looking forward to seeing how good of a "budget" racer this car truly is. :D

Do you have longer 3mm / 1T side belt ?
because too high friction

Are the small spacers, in front and rear of the "rear uprights", for change the wheelbase, in the normal E4 is not possible to move the arms.

I am thinking about buying an E4FS and was wondering if anyone knows what lipo batteries will fit

Doug Lemmons 07-15-2008 05:23 PM

most all the lipos will fit,I run the smc 5000 and had to shim the top deck 2mm. but all the rest fit with no shimming.

hey guys i have an E4 RS on the way. just curious if anyone has a good starting set up for stock 27turn asphalt.

One more question do other brand springs fit. like Xray, tamiya or AE.

Oh is there anything I should be aware before running this new beast.

thanks in advance

Just received my E4JS and it is a nice looking car, but any advice that can be offered for using BL motors would be graciously accepted. This is what I notice...

1.) The sensor cable runs dangerously close to the side belt (I am using a SP 13.5BL Motor)

2.) There is almost zero ability to slide the motor forward/backward in the motor mounting plate to accomodate proper grear mesh

3.) The pulley for the rear belt is very close, practically touching the motor case

I don't think that there would be much issue with a brushed motor, but unfortunately I don't run anything but brushless/LiPo (BTW LiPos fit great, even my TrakPower 4900).

There are a couple of set ups that I posted a few pages back that work pretty good in asphalt.

you can use any of those springs but you will not be able to get the correct ride height, the best springs that you can use are the Tamiya short springs.

Thanks for the info guys I am looking forward to running this car
