They don't seem to care much really.....

I do. Your discussion has gone from trying to answer a relatively simple question to trying to prove you're "smarter" than the other guy. Well, gentlemen, let me inform you of a simple fact. You're both acting like idiots and will be judged more by your behavior than the stuff you post. Which,by the way, most of us have long ago stopped reading.

Take this to the PM route and leave the rest of us alone.

Alright, lets try this...

We got a new track, concrete suface, very slippery.
What are the best means to make some traction?
Any ideas on tires to start with?

If we don't get some proper grip, we will lay down carpet.

This isn't a car setup suggestion, but we commonly use textured paint over here . Much, much better than plain concrete  , and much cheaper than carpet !!

I like HPI belted X-Patterns for forward bite.....

You have a PM

That's the thing. Nobody has to read any of this. Including you who have asked the question in the first place (this is not to blame it on you).

I don't care if any of you thinks I am idiot, smart or whatever, just tried to point people towards the truth. The rest is up to each and everybody.

Be that as it may, I see no reason to start with insults just because it seems difficult to understand something (after all you suggested in your original post that was your intention).

Have fun.

Play nice.

This surprises you how ??

I don't care if any of you thinks I am idiot, smart or whatever,

Isn't that the truth ??

I have a question regarding tyres, open to anyone except niznai & djmcnz (my eyes get tired from reading long passages of text) :

With regard to 60D tyres on asphalt / textured concrete, which slicks are softer / harder ,have better durabilty, consistency over a run etc.???
Which inserts do you prefer to run with 60Ds and rims too ???

This is for an M-05 , with 13t HW sensorless combo we use in Aus.

Should I forget 60D and just run the more common , smaller rubber ??

Thanks,

Fleety.

Stick with the smaller tires. Except for the largest wide open track layouts, you'll lose too much in the corners to take advantage of the higher roll out of the 60D tires

I have a quick M05 question-

The Front end is starting to get especially sloppy, with the plastic cantilevers starting to bend out of shape. Is it worth dropping $25 for aluminum replacements (54191), or should I just buy the the plastic tree and forget it?

Hmmmm, small , indoor track. I had better stay with the smaller tyres then, thanks.

Fleetie, Tammy tires are for TCS or the bin.
I tried a set of Ride 60d tires last week, and it was weapon. Greg gets them, but is currently waiting on an order.

I assume that is mainly a problems with rear grip?
Im guessing maybe something really soft with sponge inserts????
