There we go - originally cut for 60D rear but ultimately on 55mm:

Getting back to racing and want something a little different to play with. I have an m03.I know there are some more bodies for these but can't find them. Manufacturers and/or sites are what I am looking for.Any help would be appreciated.

TONS of bodies here. More than anywhere else I've found.

This is a decent source of short wheel base bodies in the U.S,

Did you use the stock Tamiya rear body mount ? BTW, mine is a M05 if it makes a difference.

Thanks for the picture

Serpent cleaning gum.

Definitely only fits the M05 and not the M03 - that why's the shell remained a shelf queen for so long......;)

I may have shaved the posts slightly but yes, the original posts. May have also drilled an extra hole down for the fronts. It was early in 2010 and I am running Audi TT now, so a bit vague.

Cheers

mo5 ball diff fit mo3?

Hey guys, sorry if this has been asked, but I didn't come across it in my search. Moved from nito offroad to mini carpet racing for off season. Got a new mo3 lwb, and was told to add some shocks and maybe a ball diff. I got both, after assembly I realise it doesn't fit, guys at lhs gave me a mo5 ball diff.

Anyway to get it to work on the mo3?

Unfortunately, no.

I think I'll go with the Audi TT too. There was someone from Canada selling them. I'll have to look and see.

thanks

Well, my M-Chassis universals finally wore out. Before I replace them, I have a question...

Is there a good way to cushion the pins on the universals (where they contact the diff outdrives)? The pins seem a bit thin and have worn a grove into the out drives. I've been using the Tamiya RC M-Chassis Universal Shafts 53205 universals.

Luckily I got a good deal on a new M-03 kit, so I can use new outdrives and dog bones. I just prefer the universals so I don't have to worry about a dog bone popping out. (Yes, I know about using o-rings or foam to help keep the dog bones in).

I'm wondering if the Tamiya 53597 Universals (CVDs?) are a better option for about the same price.

Thanks for any responses.

For the MX5 I think I'll try a set of front body mounts on the rear. They are lower but wider and further forward, but I think they may work with new holes in the bod.

Glad you mentioned the M03. Thinking about getting one of thoes too.

Opinion question" Which is the physically stronger chassis, the M03 or the M05 ?
