Untrimmed Light weight body is 7.5 Grams. Not that big of a difference:lol:
Might be good to get one if your body needs replaced but dont really see the need to go out of the way to get one.

Do people really feel the difference when driving M04 with Mazda Miata body vs BMW Z3 vs Alfa Romeo Guiletta ?

For example, given the same car setup, but using different body shell will result in better lap times or better handling ?

I mean, we are racing with mabuchi silver and black, do body shell make the diffrence ?

Dorigecko 12-22-2007 02:12 AM

why would it?

maybe slightly different weight distribution.

I'd suggest no need at all! Plus the l/weight one wont be as strong either.

Sounds like a waste of money to me.....

i dont think there is much if any advantage of any of the bodies, But i feel this way about it.

Alfa-nice body but you have the extra cost of the chrome grill.Plus the body shows wear easly
BMW- getting hard to find here price is twice of the other two. Dose not look great with series 60 or 55 tires.
Miata-is the easiest to paint and no extra body parts. Cheapest also as you only need two part numbers to get a complete body.
A nice wing will help any of these bodies if you gear box isnt turned around.

Well... I test drove the Mini with the HPI 31mm Vintage wheels and tires today on concrete to see how it would do. Not bad... although the car was totally squirly with major oversteer issues at first because the tires were brand new, but once they were scuffed the car hooked up pretty damn good. The tires held up nice with no major wear after a couple of runs. BUT, since I have tons of Mini wheels and tires laying around that I don't want to waste, the Vintage wheels will be going on my Dodge Charger bodied TT-01R... and the Cooper will go back to it's normal wheels.

Is this pictures from EA Sport ? Or from games ?

That is the mini that they are apparently about to race out here in Australia as part of the new MINI CHALLENGE one make series. They are to be one of(or maybe the) first to run the new R56(?) Cooper S as part of the series. Should be interesting to see how successful it is out here next year!

BRUSHLESS MINI

G'day All,

Here is a few photo's of my MO3M hybrid configured as a MO3R. I am currently experimenting with a Speed Passion Endless Exige Brushless system RS 540BL 1, which has the same top end as the Sport Tuned RS 540 motor. System is easy to install and setup.

Still use the 20 tooth pinion. Shocks fitted are the 3Racing with 45 Wt oil front and rear with STD springs front and Yokomo yellow at rear. No swaybars.

Needs to be setup harder to stop body roll. Fitting TRF shocks with white TRF short front and short TRF yellow to rear with 50 front/40 rear Wt oil.

Any questions let me know.

Later

Calvin.

Where can I get the Cascade Metals Re-strip from? I checked eBay, and I did a Yellow Pages search on Stained Glass hobby stores and did not find anything.

Is there another substitute that I can use? How about the K&S copper sheet?

Thanks,
Khal
