Darn, that leads to another question. Any ideas as to gearing??? The track is a parking lot track and has very limited time to sort out very much, especially if you're running in multiple classes. Has a 100+ foot straight and a big sweeper at the end of it that usually is a 3/4 throttle turn for most cars. I'm only going to do this for additional practice time for our usual beat 'em up, hell for leather mini race. Still it might be fun in itself.

No idea...our indoor was polished wooden floor, gearing wasn't an issue there.
Its gonna be suck it and see on that I'm afraid.. |

would anyone could tell me it is nessary to hop up the sway bar for front and rear ? And is it the TT-01 servo mount ( Tamiya blue ) also can be use on the MO3M? thanks all |
Hey Mini guys! Got a racing/track? My Rover Mini is setup w/7700MambaMax, 8kv motor, and 28mm foams. Is this race legal?

Off course is not legal. |
Well,
:tire:I decided to mount up some HPI 31mm Vintage wheels w/6mm offset on the Mini today to see how it would look. I ended up liking the fat tire look. There is no clearance issues on the chassis. The body is another story, so I decided to sacrifice the fenders on an old body I had laying around. I'll eventually paint another body that looks better. I have no idea how the car will perform with these wheels... it is dark out right now, so I can't run it. It does not matter anyway, my friends and I are not serious Mini racers, we just like to bash them around in playgrounds & parking lots.:sneaky: :D Here are some quickie pics: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...x/mchpi007.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...x/mchpi006.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...x/mchpi004.jpg |
Not bad.
Black is beautiful. I like the eyes. |
Just checking in....after a long break from racing the Mini, just brought the Swift.
Cheers |
Hey Scionbox- i agree, Black is beautiful! Also note to asw7576: race? Thanks for the invite but, nope. I live in Central Ca and it is about to rain. (pretty poor excuse huh?) I thought i had too much power but I see others have the same monster build I did, and I am glad to see! Mine is a Super Swift clone (RCCaraction 7-07) w/ a Mini body used mainly for driving but it is ending up getting bashed--way too much power for the street! manhole covers and "bots dots" (those reflector things in the middle of the road) are certain death.

There are plenty of ways to beat Touring cars with a mini.Just aim to be smooth, and stay as tight as you can on a sweeper with a mini. There is a gear ratio chart in the Genetic manual if you need it. if you havent got the manual you can down load it from ABC. |
