Huh...that seems kinda bizarre to me, but if it seems to work who am I to criticize. It just seems that you wouldn't change such a critical item(s) for a National versus the regional races run to that point. The specs you give don't show the Black Can as being a "little faster"...it's fully half again more rpm. I suppose it keeps everybody on their toes.

As re: the VooDoo being performed on the Silver Can motors, seems a similar procedure would be in place for the regionals through which you have to qualify for the Nats. Then again, we've covered this ground before re: questionable (at best) mods and parts on cars at regional events too.

Good luck at the Nats!

Here's the latest shell for my Mini. It's my attempt to loosely recreate the 1967 Monte Carlo winner.

I like it. Do you paint the grill and lights or does it come with stickers?

Scottrik - I agree with you. I have never understood the logic of changing the type of motor you have to run or the nationals. Why not use them throughout the regionals if they are required for the nationals.

Sportsracer - Great job!

Grill is painted (as are the numbers and yellow block on the sides), headlights are stickers.

Yes, it's the black can, fixed bell end, sport tuned, Tamiya motor.

I'm guessing the forum doesn't have an "ignore" function where I can set it to automatically not show posts by anyone that I happen to mark as ignore, does it?
(sorry to be off topic here, but I think yall understand why)

Wait, I'll sorta be on topic - ordered the "Union Jack" Mini body for my Mini-Z today... (does that make the post enough on-topic to count?)

Which model of Mini-Z does that fit? I have a Mini Z in a box gathering dust, and that sounds like a nice shell.

Default To set your system to "ignore" minicrapper

HAH...

I FIGURED OUT HOW TO DO AN "IGNORE"...

Click on "User Control Panel" at the top of pretty much any RC Tech page.

You will see "Control Panel" on the left side of the ensuing page. At the bottom of the list is "buddy/ignore lists". Click on that, fill in minicrapper's name (be sure not to capitalize it and it does run together)

Click "Save List" to the right of where you enter his name

And with luck you won't see any more of his posts.

Let's all do it so no one is tempted to respond to the troll.
