Thanks guys,
I am thinking since I have an M05 that I may try an M06. Did you see the new Tamiya M05kit w/ new body? Prepare to be blown away. ...are you ready? its a Mazda 2 ! WOW (being totally sarcastic). Why is Tamiya trying to move the M class away from vintage racers to mom grocery trip racers? ...what's next the Nissan Rogue or the Honda Odyssey kit? |

when it comes to M05 and M06's you can't beat the deals at Tower. I am not a fan of Tower as their selection is fairly generic, but the deals on what they have are pretty good. I am looking at a stock M06 for about $135 w/ coupons (cheapest on eBay is about $150ish shipped). M06pro's are discontinued, as are the M06pro "r". I found one M06 "r" on eBay, but they want $450 for it. An M06pro on ebay is $275. Its cheaper to start w/ a stock kit and build up to an "r" (plus I have some extra upgrade parts from my M05 that I can use on my M06.

The M06 is my attempt to race outside the box. Everyone runs M05's. Sure I can get in the top 3 at my club w/ the M05 ...but looking to see what I can do w/ an M06. ;)

Johns (Brownies Hobbies!) is a great place ran by a great guy!!!
He'll bend over backwards to get something you need! If he doesn't have it in stock, he'll get it for you!!! |
a few parts extra came in for the mini time to finish my build. must say I'm not a fan of building anything outside of trail trucks so it was a interesting build so far.

Looks good! Take it slow for realism. Want to see video clips!

DUDE! that mini looks sweet. Looks as good as some of Sakadachi's. ;)
very nice!!! ----- by the way, I ordered an M06 ...been all over the M06 thread soaking up knowledge. Going to start a new build and prep it for racing. Been racing the M05 for the past 5years, need a new challenge :) edit: -I still plan on racing my M05 (just may race the M06 at a few races) |
Yeah, Mr. Grahoo's mini stuff is good. His YouTube channe (civicferio1)l has some good tutorials. They're mixed in with lots of other stuff. Definitely worth a browse.
