I've actually been in many TCS regional races in the past, but I seem to remember many getting past tech with questionable mods.

I saw an HPI honda s2000 body 225mm wheelbast at the lhs and that might fit your m04 and possibly the mo3m. Its cheaper than tamiya bodies and maybe better handling.

The HPI Honda S2000 is for 190mm chassis. They have a Civic body for the M03 chassis.

Ummmm. Very interesting. Have you tried all different droop setting (1,2,3and no o-ring/s) and no o-ring is the best? I have to try this. Are you running with TRF shock 53571 or plastic super mini shock?

If you're trying that many different settings then you're over complicating things.

Its either a single spacer (equiv to 3 o-rings) or none at all. Doesnt matter which shock you're using really.

The 'no o-ring' setup doesnt work everywhere, or for everyone, but its certainly a legitimate set-up and worth trying.

I will try it at the novak people will be traction rolling every where I have a extra set of shocks i willl build them and try em with no 0 rings but I bet with the traction it will not be the way I won last year with rings but who knows btw Happy new year to all U mini Drivers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The mega droop setting seems to work well for low to medium grip tracks but requires a smooth racing line, it doesnt seem to work as well for more aggressive style driving.

We have also had a lot of success with no droop, and really hard springs (22-24lbs) it really makes the front tyres work very hard.

We dont run on carpet here unfortunately and none of our tracks are really high grip so it will be fairly different on carpet I would say.

Also one thing I tend to run and seems to work for me is about 1mm ride height, I have found that the chassis doesnt realy scrape very much at all and with the lowered ride height you get more camber on the front wheels which seems to give it much more steering. Makes it great in the tight twisty sections.

Hi Glenn,

Sydney has a lot of shops where you can get Tamiya stuff and other related Mini gear (Check out Racing Lines Mag for some addresses etc) but I'd be lying if I said that our stuff was purchased locally.

We get most of our mini gear from Rainbow Ten , rc-champ ([email protected]) or rc-mart . It just depends who's got what we want at the time.

The Sports Sedan body? I assume you're talking about the Chevron Monster M body. Sadly no-one has them at the moment. They're rather hard to come by.

Castle Hill hobbies has a good stock of Tamiya parts, I think one of the St. Marys hobby shops might also keep them.

guys what are the advantages of using large tires like the one using in touring cars compare to the small tires for m03's...
