What's wrong with that? Did the work of 2 aluminum bulkheads.

Most of us carry duct tape, but Ivan carries zip ties.

Again, they are handy to have around! This is how you hold a servo in place in a almost bone stock M03 because the servo mounts are plastic. Been running the car almost weekly for the last 3-4 months and I haven't broken anything. Aluminum upgrades....pffft.

Haha I don't have the words. Sad thing was, the car seemed to drive just fine after your 'fix'. So for all of us working on perfect setups, spending hours fine tuning, you throw something together with zip ties and it works just fine... dammit.

Jim id bet the only reason the 04 is bad on servo savers, is the setup for a FWD in general, is a little under steer, or else you swap ends too easily. this means on a fast track, your more likely to smoke a board at full steering lock and wreck the saver. I miss my 04. I think I still have a chassis somewhere.... no no no... I don't have the time or patience!

The Shumy saver looks great. Use what you need, cut what you don't. Quite smart!

Ivan, stop being cheap and buy a proper brace for that thing. I spent $5 on min and haven't broken that bit of the chassis in years. I know a guy who can make you one. Locally. He's a friend. Wears pointy shoes.

I'd Dremel one out for you but I think I've breathed enough carbon fibre dust for a lifetime.

On that note, I thought I had the dust problem down.... got a nice little shop vac and while stupidly loud, it did the job, until the filter came loose.... and sprayed the room with black dust. Ive shut the door and will do a full cleanout this weekend. Time to build a cyclone....

Jim can you bring the brace with you tmw? Ill measure it up, I don't have an 03 on hand anymore, Tommy boy is racing it in BC I think.

But then again, while I'm not a concourse type, I still like my RC cars to have a scale look and correct drivetrain to match (I am picky).

Hey sorry. Fixed the image codes. New MX-5 works well. Just threw it on a Swift body setup and didnt touch a thing.

Test on M03 chassis: http://www.rctech.net/forum/14353089-post26568.html

That MX-5 body looks nice.
Looks like its wide enough that the wheels can tuck underneath the body as well.

How does that body handle/is it balanced nicely? Say compared to the JCW body? (if you've used the JCW)

Nevermind is chassis, I want to see what Ivan's zip tied transmitter looks like. ;)

I got my new motor heatsink in gunmetal color mounted on my CupRacer last night, and my last roll of rubber liner for my track expansion due Spring time. :p

Your still messing around w/ that CR'r!! -I thought you hated it!! JK.
I drove my Sabre 4wd mini yesterday at the track (I have a few questions, but will post in the appropriate thread).

Hey, if your looking at heat sinks, etc ...and trying to cool your motor I'd like to recommend WTF fans. Seriously, I put them on all my cars and my motor temps are super low. they push a ton of air. I use one on my Tamiya Mini, 21.5t w/ timing turned all the way up, motor temps after a 6min heat are still only at 125-130. W/ other fans I was up at 155-160. That lower temp has helped me pull away towards the end of races when others are fading due to motor heat.

 Yeah, I was about to toss the CR, but gave it one more try by pretty much re-doing everything (close setup to the BSR) and it finally started to drive decently.. not great, just okay.

Thanks in regards to the WTF fans. I didn't want to spend too much money on it anymore and since it's only running the Tamiya TorqueTuned silver can, it can handle quite a bit of heat. I have the heat sink plus a 25mm fan blowing at it. It passes the 5sec rule. :D

Well not sure the prices currently but for awhile CR's were going for a nice penny on eBay.

oh, yeah if your running a tamiya torque tuned your fine.

On the bottom picture, what is the shaft/e-clip holding on the bumper?
