Zip Ties
 

I did some research on the M03 servo saver, and a number of people on several sites recommended a zip tie to tighten the stock servo saver. Its either that, or going with the high torque 51000 servo saver and aluminum horn (both of which take time to order) or trying to find a large enough Kimbrough.
I did use a yellow one to make sure everyone who looks at the car will notice.

I have this super old Airtronics ESC on the car which makes the old school buzzing/humming noise while at creep. lol Reminds me of the 1970's RC sold at toy stores.

I've ordered a couple of the now discontinued alloy HD servo horns from Banzai. Not bad at $13/ea. (popped $12 for EMS shipping) I've already got enough of the rest of the HD servo saver bits lying around from my collection of junk.

I'm using large black Kimbroughs on both the 03 and 04 for now. You can get them very close to stock length, with some careful drilling. I've considered, given how close to the edge it needs to be drilled, reinforcing the Kimbrough with a backing plate made of styrene or some other plastic. This would make for a fairly indestructible servo saver.

Jim have you ever tried a Schumacher Servo saver in a mini. It has a ton of mounting options.

Hi i recently got my hands on a Xevo Chariot, and i am kindda hoarding up parts for a small restore and build. I was thinking of getting those 3racing suspension arms for the M05. But i noticed Tamiya now makes carbon reinforced arms meant for the M05 Ver2.

I am to understand they have to be somewhat modded to fit an M05 Ver1 so to speak. is it too much work or should i just stick the the 3Racing arms? Also, Are the CF arms less sloppy? Can anyone advice if they are a better buy than the 3R arms.

I have been away from RC for 13 years or so and i know Tamiya = king of slop.

The graphite arms are not CF. They are injection molded with graphite. Similar to how the Losi street weapon IWC was the same as the regular kit, but injected with graphite. Hope that Street Weapon reference puts things into perspective.

Same fit and similar geometry as stock (might be slightly different shock angle), but less weight and much more rigid. Hinge pins are recommended, if you run aftermarket arms.

Some say that graphite arms should be boiled, to allow more flex during impacts. My recommendation is to not get into impacts if you run these arms.

Hello, I am thinking of upgrading my current M05 to the V.II by buying the upgrades parts only, is there any difference in performance gained other than the ability to fit the square type batteries? sorry if this was asked before but I couldn't find any information about the performance difference.

Yes, they drive very differently. V2 is far superior as far as handling, but I think the M05 is more fun to drive :)

The V2 doesn't just drive differently, you also have the ability to setup your droop.

My m04 is brutal on servo savers! Stripped the splines out of a Kimbrough and shattered a stock, plastic one. Not even hard hits. Got the HT alloy horns this morning. Hoping for better luck.

I'm still contemplating whether to revive my M04M or not. I suppose if I get the Miata body down the road, I would run it on the M04M.. hummmm... I need to get a new chassis, new servo, receiver, etc.

Drove my M01 last night. Was fun. :D
