TRF on the left, Tech on the right. |
Thanks
Thanks Tony Gray.
Since I have a set of TRF 415 shocks, I will just use that. Do you use the height adjuster with the 415 shocks? which springs do u use? the regualr or the short? http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFAD7&P=7 Thanks. |

You will need a load of limiter spacers on the shock shaft inside your front shocks to reduce the front droop. I was told 2mm of front droop was about right. |

hey guys.
I know I'm was suppose to post in the WTB section. but is anyone here selling a fully hopup'd Cooper? if so please PM me. Trying to get into the local Mini races. thanks |
holy beautiful mini! where do you get the evo5 car?
|
the evo5 mini is NFS....it was a one off custom.
|
which is better in terms of handling, speed, etc. m03 or m04??
|
Rode my M03M for the first time tonight and it was great. I had lots of body roll in the corners. I will have to try to adjust my shocks so I can lower my ride height. Since we are running a spec series, stock shocks only.

in the term of speed, since M04 has a lower final drive ratio, the top speed is more than M03....if you can find the perfect set up M04 can be very very fast than M03 (in condition using the same kind of motor) :D |
Alright, I just bought 2 M03 and 1 M03M. One is going to be for setup for the TCS in Memphis, one is going to be setup for Rally (just for grins) and one is going to be for racing at my local track. I just had some questions about some of the aftermarket parts I'm seeing on Ebay. I know I can only use Tamiya hop-ups for the one going to the TCS but for the local club I really want to bling it out since I probably won't be real competitive against the other guys in Stock who I'll have to race against and I figure...if you can't win, at least look good losing.
I saw parts from Tech, Square, Yeah Racing, GPM and such and was wondering if the parts are worth using if only for the "it's pretty" factor. You know, things like the Alloy Front and Rear arms, Damper plates, Front Uprights, Alloy wheel hubs and so on. Also there are the X-Speed Alloy shock sets which look good but do they perform. They are half the price of a set of TRF Dampers. Any info on these would be appreciated. |
Simple answer - Virtually none of those parts do anything... And in fact we believe that some of the parts might even hurt the performance. i.e. Often the replacement alloy parts weigh more than the original plastic parts!
However, the bling factor is improved immeasureably, that cant be denied. Dont know about the X-Speed dampers, never seen them. I wouldnt compromise on shocks though, they're probably the most important factor in getting your Mini to work. |
