Tamiya has NO ball diff listed as a hopup for the Mini chassis.. Manta Ray.. yep.. TA04 (I think this is the other one people use?) yes.. but not Mini. As for Canada... Our group has confirmed with Tamiya Canada that the 1 way is legal. Now.. weather that is the same in the US.. or Worlds etc.. I have no idea. James |

http://www.modelsport.co.uk/_images/...rmal/53219.jpg It's machined aluminum, not cast, and is 30% lighter. Comes with a full set of cone washers and a one-piece bearing for a full rebuild, pretty well everything to make a diff except the gear, balls and outdrives. On the other hand, as a result I have a spare set of TA03 diff A and B plates.. :sneaky: PM me if you're interested. |

this is the page on Tamiya's website listing the hopups for the M03.... the TA03 diff is actually listed,as well as the Manta one there.... i think a lot of that is actually left up to the club running the regional events, but held to TCS rules, they would be out. |

probably been asked 100 times, whats the bearing sizes for the M03 Mini?
want to rebuild mine but would rather get bearings from Avid. thanks. |
There are twelve 11x5 and two 8x5 metric ball bearings in the SWB M-03. The new M-03M uses eight 10x5, two 8x5 and two 11x5 metric bearings. Kits are available on the Bay dirt cheap.

I read that the chassis length is set by a spacer in the chassis, is there a spacer in the shortest chassis? Id like to get the M03M for its newer stronger parts but want to run the short version to run the old style mini cooper body.

#53200 Tamiya 4WD Front One-Way Differential Unit. Is this it? What do you use it with. gear diff, ball diff or stand alone? It does say, used with TA03 chassis so maybe if you're running a TA03 ball diff in your mini you can use this as well. Maybe a loophole the judges in Canda allowed.
