Could be a number of things..
*Check your hinge pins, sometimes one is slightly bent and will cause the lower arm to lock in one spot. *Check shock mountings, too tight will cause the same problem. *Check the driveshafts, they could be binding. *O Rings in the outdrive cups as per instructions? *Bearing not seated correctly in the front upright. There's a few things to start off with anyway. |
Types of Minis
Hi guys,
I'm thinking of getting a mini. Can someone educate me on the different kinds of the latest minis tamiya is selling? :) Thanks. |
I'll simplify it for you. Just get an M03M Suzuki Swift. Simple as that.
Has the latest front suspension plus also has the rear toe-in uprights as standard and even has some ball bearings included in the kit. Its the one to get for sure - assuming that you're considering racing. |
Hey tony, i love the valentino rossi themed body!
|
Thanks Tencho,
That one took ages and ages to paint, but it looked brilliant on the track, nice and bright. Its a bit the worse for wear now though. For those who havent seen it, this is the one...Its actually based on Valentinos helmet design. |
Thanks man :)
I suppose this is the latest Mini right.

Sure is. And you can easily pull the chassis spacer out if you want to run SWB with a Mini body too.
|
well, I picked up my Swift today. Hard to say no when the local store has them so cheap ! Well, compared to my X Ray stuff it seemed cheap.
ANyway, I was wondering if any other bodies fir the 03M chassis? prefer Tamiya, but any options considered. thanks |
Sadly at the moment there is very little in the way of choice in bodies for M03M. Its pretty much Suzuki, Suzuki, Suzuki...
Tamiyas M04 Alfa Romeo will fit but the bodyshell is now discontinued as a separate part. The HPI Mazda Miata is an option though. |
these are my favorite mini bodies
Toyota TE27 Levin Toyota S800 Datsun 510 but they're not right on an M03, because those real cars were RWD my favorite FWD bodies are, Fiat 500 old Mini cooper New Beelte http://www.active-hobby.com/2005/bodies_mini.html http://www.abchobby.com/abcframeeng/cont/01mini.html |
Well,
I guess I'll just run the Swift body for now, but it certainly won't be getting painted Yellow !! Thanks |
SQUARE RC parts
check out these cool M03M aluminum parts from SQUARE....too bad they don't have actual fotos yet...

possibly a silly notion, but - since we run 5 minute heats only, and since using current cells of 3000mah + when 1200 or 1400 would suffice, has anyone tried the 2/3 cells in 1400 ??
I have a few loose cells I thought I could easily build up and use, would save a ton of weight, but can't think of any downside to using them??? |
give those batts a shot....let me know how it goes. i run IB3800's zapped sport packs and a 27turn Epic Outlaw motor using the 20t pinon on my M03 with every Tamiya hop up part available. the thing is a little missile! weight isn't an issue to me. i love my mini..
