What is a good 21.5 setup for TCS racing?

Is the rear overhang of the mini cooper (original) body supposed to fit very tightly with the rear bulkhead on the M05? It's basically touching and deforming (slightly) the body on mine.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but there is no way to answer your question. There simply is not enough information provided.
First, you didn't specify what car and what option parts you have. It's helpful to know what kind of track you'll be racing. Set ups are different.
Besides, there's been hundreds of posts related to your question. If you'll do a little research, I'm sure you'll find your answers. In fact, Calvin posted a good base setup not too long ago. I've posted my base setup several times, but it's been awhile and it was for the M03.
Also, too often, guys will just do part of the setup and not have success. All setups are integrated with one part making the other part work. If you just take parts of it and leave off parts, it may wind up being worse than what you have.

I searched 21.5 but did not see any brands listed. The car is a m05 and a m05 pro v2. Race track is my driveway for now but I hope to make the TCS race in Connecticut . I'll search some more tonight. Thanks

It's hard to incorporate a complete setup when you only receive a portion of the information... That's one thing I've learned with minis lately... There's some thing that they just won't divulge. The Diff setting is an intragal part of a mini setup. And the interpretation if shock length and rebound is very eluding depending on which shock tower mounting location you are using, particularly in the front.
You really have to dive in and just start trying things.

I personally use the ORION speedos (original R10 Stck Spec, two years old) that was salvaged from my old touring car. Had a HobbyWing Just Stock but it didn't have enough brakes for my driving style...
As far as motor, you can't go wrong with an R1Wurks 21.5.... Period

You're right about the diff tho. You do have to adjust the set up to the diff. The problem here is that no 2 diffs seem to come out the same even if identical in construction. You build it to a certain "feel" and hope like hell it works.

Comment wasn't directed in any particular direction. Just in general because of the fact that no two diffs can be built the same, yet the diff setting is crucial. To a point of which you can not simply 'tell some one'. Build it, try it, build it again is what's needed. So although you apply someone's setup there is still a lil fudge factor you will not have..
You can get close, but will never be 'spot on'.
In a class like mini where it's taking some guys 45min to apply glue to the sidewall ever so precisely to get that optimal deflection/rigidity ratio oh so perfect, every minute detail is critical.

On the flipside... No single individual outside of myself knows all the precise inner workings of my setup, but I have shared and scattered every detail thruought the mini community. It's like a scavenger hunt, pick up the pieces.
I'm sure I'm not alone.
Why? I barely have time to setup mine own and sometimes forget some of the details... True story. Ha.
