I haven't tried the new Yeah racing CVD's, although I have a pair. I might fit them to my MO5S-Spec and see how they go.

I normally use the Tamiya universals. I have found them very reliable, unless I forget to check them occassionally.

I'm off to play with my Grid. Looks nice in the box, hopefully better on the track.

Sorry mate missed your post.

I race a swb m05 mini at Maritime and the Sweep 25's are the tyre of choice. However we do CA the sidewalls of the front tyres to prevent traction roll. The other option is to run 33 front and 25 rears whigh work well but not quite as fast except on really warm days

Hi everyone
I have a m05 straight out the box.
Have just bought 3racing hop up steering plate
what else would others recomend.
There is such a wealth of knowledge here wasn't
sure where to start.

That's a good bumper for the M05, but I have a M03 !!! I might have to make my own !!!!!

You can buy a bigger foam bumper, like a TT-01 piece and carve it down to the size you need. Cut in a pocket for the stock bumper. Glue it in place and you're gold.

I was thinking more like a wide piece of 5mm plastic bolted to the m03 small front bumper, and covered on each end with rubber tubing. I know it won't absorb impact as well as foam, but it should be better than nothing ! Also a little frontal weight won't hurt either !!!!!

If I use short springs that are smaller than the stock springs, do I need to use a bunch of those clip on spacers so the shock isn't compressed at all?

I'll be using my stock Tamiya TA05 oil filled shocks.

TL01 aftermarket foam bumper fits.
It is huge though.

or the plastic bumper from a TL01b(baja) is really good
These bumpers may need the bodies to be cut to fit

Part Numbers for short springs suitable for a mini or other option is to get the 1mm down TRF shock retainers and you can use the longer springs.

Three pairs of springs per pack.
53333 Old short Fluro spring set.
42168 TC short spring set (black)

Two pairs of springs per pack.
53633 TRF short damper spring white (Ex Hard)
53632 TRF short damper spring blue (hard)
53631 TRF short damper spring yellow (medium)
53630 TRF short damper spring red (soft)
