Default TA06

Hey Guys

Ive just ordered a TA06 which i am going to use in stock (silver can). I was thinking of using a spool with the one way pulley, does anyone know what this would handle like? Im trying to keep the rotational weight down (spool) while using a one way for max speed. The way i see it, this acts like having a one way diff without the extra weight - or should i stick to minis haha

ANy other suggestions for setup would ge greatly appreciated

thanks

stu

Speedtech charges a very fair and economical price as mandated by Tamiya America. If you are comparing them to online shops overseas like in China, they do not go by any manufacturers guidelines on pricing as most retailers here in the U.S. must adhere to. However, when dealing with those shops you "can" have issues such as poor customer service and exhorbitant shipping charges to worry about which in the end does not amount to much savings in comparison to dealing with a dealer stateside like Speedtech. Although some will have success stories about dealing with overseas online shops, there are just as many "Scare" stories about dealing with them as well.

Our prices are based on what TamiyaUSA charges us. I'm sure the weak Dollar/Yen exchange is not helping either.

Wow, compared to who? Tamiya America? Black market? LMK, they're as fair as it gets.

Exotek chassis are there to improve Lipo L/R Balance, I can see the benefit say for the TA05 (have one on my V2) but does the TA06 need it? The Balance is factored in the original design, and the chassis is stiff enough, wouldn't it just be for a 'bling' factor?

Grab front and rear of your chassis and bend, notice the belt? Something with more fore aft stiffness would be...gooder

Yes listening... but with all good things it will take some time to make a killer conversion... some ideas already hitting the drawing board at least

+1 even the shock towers bend quite a lot when you compress the suspension. This car has a lot of potential, but the plastic used is too soft imo. The more prepped the track is, the better tires you have, the faster you go, you will see the problems in its current state.

need to look for carbon shock towers and maybe chassis stiffener or go with the lightweight carbon reinforced lower deck. do you guys remember the hpi pro 3? the design was pretty radical back then but the chassis flex was terrible.
