TY, that does make more sense.

There are companies that make a 21.5 that also have motors which are ROAR accepted. Like Hacker, their 13.5 is ROAR accepted but there is no word on the 21.5. To my knowlege there is no word on any company's 21.5. But I can see where oval racing would have an influence. Thanks.

For now I will stick with 4C/17.5.

There is no homologation for any 21.5 so you wont hear any until there is. Which roar is infact working on because of the 21.5 oval guys. I am sure at some point you will see all the normal players have 21.5 Roar approved motors. Off the top of my head i know hacker, LRP, Novak, Tekin, and speed passion all make 21.5's

I talked to Castle Creations and they made it clear they would never make a ROAR approved motor. LOL Was a very colorful response actually. Which sucks cause I run their stuff in my off road and love it. O well Ill run brushed till I decide to make the big jump. I have the lipos already...would just need the esc and motor.

My distributor's are showing them in-stock , so your LHS should be able to get them as well.

Most of the companies were "On the Fence" on building the 17.5's too, until ROAR legalized them and made a set of class rules for them.

I know ROAR was on the fence about them too, I spent some time emaling and pm'ing them with info we had found with almost 6 months of testing them in different types of vehicles.

The 17.5's were also built for us - but as with any product, the MORE uses you can find for it - the bigger sales will be - the easier it is to get someone to build. Which is why I'm really excited to see the 21.5's being used in the VTA. MORE Uses, More sales, More availability.

And hopefully at some point, if these are used in other classes and there are ROAR approvals for 21.5s, then we will open the rules up to allow more than just the Novak motor.

Nash, if the Airborne Ape doesn't want the 21.5, I'll take it.

I am sure its fun, but the way onroad racing is in northern wi, the could be 10 people racing it or no one racing it. I don't want to have to come up with $70 or so for wheels and a body the sell it for half then, when no one ends up racing it.

VTA got going in my area when me and two other guys decided that we were going to run it hell or high water. So for a while there were only three cars in the class. We stuck with it and now there are a lot more involved.
