Also the 009 has the aluminum dogbones in the rear and lightened axles. The chassis now will support both 5 or 6 cells and the battery slots were moved off centerline slightly. The chassis supports the 'Forward Motor Conversion" kit too. Also all kits come with 34T diff pulleys and a 20T layshaft pulley (this was a running change on the 008 I believe).

Thanks guys. Do you happen to know the hole diameter of the shock pistons? They look like 1.2 mm, am I correct?

I like to know if the plastic shocks that comes in the 008 and 009 kits are any good. I wonder why they include plastic shocks instead of alum ones, since T2 supposed to be a high end racing kit.

The plastic ones are awesome and just as good as the aluminum ones. The reason they dont include the aluminum ones is while it is a high end car, you cant make everything little thing on the car top notch, or else the kits would cost wayyyy to much.

theyre overpriced anyhow... the origional price on the 008's was $450 now theyre $500

Exactly Plastic Shocks Are a joke
Guy Could you please give me some setup ideas for ultra low grip tight technical medium size Carpet Track...
Rear Camber Link Shims are 1mm, is that helps to change them to 2mm?
Thanx in advance

I don't understand why the shock pistons are not made from nylon like the Schumachers etc. instead of cheap platic that you have to cut from the sprue.

99% of the team using Alloy shocks
I wonder why...
010 soon hopefully comes with alloy shocks

I know Drew runs the plastic shocks, and has since he's been with the team. And Paul was running them in mod at the Novak race. There is nothing wrong with them, in fact they are better than some aluminum shocks (AE). I have run them since the FK05 and have never cracked one or even wore a shock body.

I've run the plastic shock forever and the only one I ever broke was when I dropped my car and it hit the edge of a table dead on. That was the first and last one since.
Piston hole is 1.2mm.
