Here is a good tip like Q said if the collar is hard to spin up and down when I first build mine I put a little thin oil on the shock and on the collar thats seems to help and you can do that from time to time ...I spary my shocks with motor spary when I clean them so I put oil on them after that keeps them smooth...Later Drew

I have used the plastic bodied shocks on my 008's for the whole season and have only rebuilt them 2 times they are very good shocks

I'm glad they are sticking with this car, because I like it very much! Now I have a reason to get a fresh one .

Well I made the switch to Xray and bought a U.S. Version for carpet season. I am wondering however has anyone used this car on Asphalt and what was needed for a descent setup, or is it never going to be as good and I have to get either the EU parts to switch it from season to season. I am glad however they are just tweaking some parts rather than building a new car for 09.

The US car will not work as well as the EU car on asphalt. You will need the EU chassis, top deck set and rear belt. The plastic parts on the US is harder than the EU. Hard vers extra hard. You can replace all the plastic parts also. The US uses 50mm drive shafts while the EU uses 52mm. You do not need to replace these. The longer driver shaft is to give more traction. You will also want a spool for the front. The multi diff is nice. But the plastic spool works well. The plastic outdrives can break. But some new aluminum outdrives will be out soon.

Also the new black springs are nice.

This is a less expensive conversion turning a US car into a EU car. Plus you have 2 different cars depending on what tire type you want to run.

305136 T2'008 Alu Solid Axle Driveshaft Adapters (2) - Hard Coated

"CNC-machined diff drive shaft adapters for XRAY T2’008 Composite Solid Axle, made from premium lightweight Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum."

"The alu driveshaft adapters for the front solid axle are a direct replacement for the stock composite versions but with increased the strength and lifespan."

"The modular design of the front solid axle allows for easy removal and servicing. Internal slots key to drive shaft pins require use of driveshaft blades #305241 (included), enabling direct power transfer to the wheels and eliminating excess play between the outdrives and drive shafts. Set of 2."

"Precision machined with highest tolerances using premium fully-automatic German CNC-machines. High-quality hardcoating is done at XRAY’s own in-house fully-robotic hardcoating line, ensuring a perfect hardcoated surface every time."

I've been wondering how to do it also since I'd like to do carpet and asphalt. maybe this should be a sticky someplace..."How to convert the US T2'008 for asphalt".

Default pinions

Hi experts,

I'm going to race with t2k8 this winter in super stock (17,5T brushless). I'll race on technical course on a carpet.

Could anyone recommend me the range of pinions? I know this is not easy to say it.... thanks a lot
