Jason

How much carry-over will there be from the old to new car - just the pod? or the pod plate / shock mount plate as well?

Alot of parts will carry over. The axle, the long standoffs, maybe even the front end. The bearings are the same, the pods, the pod top brace. I will make a full list and also come up with a price for the conversion kit. I am going to keep the conversion cheap as i dont want it to be hard or expensive for existing customers to convert.

Don't forget to include a conversion list or kit coming from the R.
Thanks,

Regarding the different gold colours what had been used in the past at cars I liked most the gold colour from the alloy tub chassis on the very first AE RC10. I wonder how the BMI Gold will look like. But I also still like the gunmetal.

BTW what will change at the DB10R?

Once i get the pricing on that i will decide if it is going to be able to be sold with the car kit or as an option part. It is hard at this time as the market of 1/12th seems to be going towards lower quality and less expensive. I dont want to take that route. I want to keep increasing quality and try to keep the same price. The market is getting tough and it gets hard to compete against cars that do away with nice machined aluminum parts and replace them with all cheap molded parts. I want to keep the strength and accuracy of the machined aluminum parts.
Thanks for the update Jason. Well, in my opinion, and I am only speaking for myself here. I would rather pay more money and get a quality kit than pay less money and get a less quality kit. I am a firm believer than in most cases you get what you pay for. So it is appericated that you are trying to keep the cost down, but I wouldn't sacrifice quality or your reputation as a car manufacturer.

The chassis for the new car will definitely be different than the current lipo one.

I'm really looking forward to it...sure hope I can get foamies to work at our new track. As you can see in the 1/12th forum I'm having a hard time getting traction even with pinks.

BTW, will the new GT chassis also support the same battery options as before or just the 1S Lipo? We are all running 2S saddle packs around here.

Some other including me also are running 2S Lipo stick pack.
Thatīs one of the reasons I asked what will change on the new DB10R.

xtrememadness- The prototype chassis I tested at the Birds is SLIGHTLY different. Keep in mind NO FINAL decisions have been made as to the final product. We will still be testing various items on the car in order to provide the best possible combination to afford the racers the best handling 12th scale possible.

V12 and Uga- The WGT car I ran at the Birds had different rear suspension geometry. The new WGT will certainly have the new suspension for the rear plus a few changes to the chassis and layout. I don't think I can divulge anymore info, so I'll defer to Jason.
