Hi Jason,

Is there any plan to smarten up the international shipping so it's based on weight? the current set up is good for kits but it pretty much means all the aussie BMI orders have to pool together to place our spare/hop up orders

Craig, this made the car turn more off power and react a little quicker. I tried the batteries forward and it killed the cars corner entry steering for me. Larry ran his battery in the middle and his car was ok for him. I usually like more steering than Larry though, hence the battery location difference.

Battery position is a great tuning option and I really like how there's several different positions. One thing I have noticed for most of the posted setups is that most run the batts fully rearward with about 1.5mm droop. I usually run the batts one position back from full forward but with about 2.5mm droop to gain turn in. For me, it seems that if I move the batts back any further, I lose some mid corner steering. Is there anything else I can do to get this back? Or maybe its just the difference in the high traction at big events?

Hi gubbs3,
apart from changing battery position you can change your ackerman to gain or take away steering. This has an very noticeable change. Do you run your servo flat or angled?

With the servo flat you should have lots of steering due to the ackerman. For more mid corner steering increase the caster or use thicker L-bars. You won't lose rear traction by using thicker L-bars only gain steering. Thats the great thing about the BMI DB12R. Also check your diff., if it is a bit too loose you will lose steering.

Thanks,
Caio

A quick fix to eliminate slop in the ball cups is to take a little bit of fuz off of the end of a Q-tip and stick it in the cup. Just a little. Now snap it on and you will have bind free and no slop. Now you can use whatever ball cup you want.

Hi Jeremy, something that I've been doing a long time now is to use plumber teflon joint tape. Cut a quarter inch square and place it over the ball and snap the cup over it.
Just another way to skin the cat ....

Hey BZ!

Good idea. You can also use a piece of a Zip lock sandwich bag.
