Doesn't the CRC pro-strut front end use larger axles? If so, the front bearings will be different on the CRC.

Thanks guys for the answers.
As far as i can, i will order one of those carpet ripper machines.

Do you know some shops that deliver to germany?

My buddy has a hatzenbach a12 there will only fit a kimbrough spur gear.

Which one will fit the DB?

Can i use all aftermarket spurs?

I totally forgot CRC went to a 3/16 front axle!

I've used Kimbrough before, but now all I use are RW spurs (for 17.5 brushless, I use a 78 tooth RW spur... some guys use 76 or 74 tooth spurs in order to get the right rollout). PRS spurs will also work. The DB12RR uses a standard IRS rear axle.

You can use 64p spur gears from Kimbrough, RW racing, Corally(DuMor), PRS, and Hot Bodies. If you plan on running 17.5 brushless, PRS and RW racing make some of the smaller spur sizes popular with that class.

Hi,

i plan to run a 9,5T Motor in our logal race series called cs cup.
I will not run a mod or std motor.
I´ve seen on the bmi web shop a 58T spur gear.
Is that also ok?
Our Roll-out ist about 46 to 51mm.

Is that correct that the assembly manual has only 10 pages?
It´s a litle less or not?
I like step by step manuals with many pics

The 58T spur gear BMI sells is a 48P gear, it is almost the same diameter as the 78T 64P gear BMI sells. You may wish to start with the kit supplied 88t 64P gear when running the 9.5 motor.

The assembly manual is great. Step by step instructions. Clear black and white photos with well written text to help you assemble the car. If you ever have any questions when building the car do not hesitate to hop on line here and ask. Jason and his customers are always willing to help.

AMC in the UK is a shop in Europe and sells to Germany. That´s where I bought my DB12RR also. I don´t know if there are other shops in Europe but you could order from Jason directly also. I just went with AMC as there was very little time left before the race where I wanted using the BMI. I think ordering from the USA the kit had arrived after that race.

I´m not sure why the Hatzenbach car could use Kimborough only as the rear axle is the same as any other car. I´m running Kimborough and Xenon gears with my DB12RR. BTW the room in the powerpod on the DB12RR is incredible large. So you could use a much larger range on pinions than in any other car but also it´s much easier working on the motor (installing) also very easy access for installing/removing the sensorwire connector.

I´m also running a 9.5T motor and a 88T/64DP spur is the perfect choice for that rollout. That´s what I´m using as most other guys.

Today I have had very bad luck at the race. Before I had some major crashes were the car survived without any broken parts but today another car hit the rear of my BMI at full speed. No broken graphite parts and no broken rear axle, but all of the 3 pivot ball housings and the front ballstud from the centershock were broken what meant end of race for me as I had no spare pivot ball housings. Well this really was a hard crash and any other car maybe had damaged more than this.

Hi,

thanks to all for answering.
I made my choice and i will order the 12RR.
I hope for the future if i have some trouble with the car you can help me too.
So i´m looking forward to this car.
BTW is a 64dp Spur and pinion better, because i raced always with 48dp spurs and pinions.
Do i have a better range for roll-out with 64dp?

Yes, with 64p you have a better range in the sence that the ratio change is made in smaller increments.

Maybe this will help show the difference between 48 and 64 pitch. The following calculation is done in mm. Here you can compare the difference that reducing the ratio by 1 tooth on the pinion in both 48 and 64 pitch.
