Oh and here is the updated setup that I ran yesterday. I did need more negative camber for some of the higher speed sweepers we have, but that was about the only real change I made.

Please optimal gear ratio for the modified motor for 3.7. And what the motor used in modified?

I am about to do some lipo testing with the 3.7 lipo. I am going to try this setup
Front
5 degree blocks with 4 degree castor
.020 front spring w/ #3 on the kingpins
angled servo
2x pink fronts cut to 1.700 1/2 inside sauce
2 degrees camber
0 toe
3.5mm ride height
.25mm droop
Rear
lipo back as far as possible
Thin flex plates in long position w/ set screw installed but not touching chassis
#3 in the tubes
Gold spring w/ 50 wt. oil in the silva shock
Tall ballstud on shock mount
2 x pink rear tire cut to 1.800
1mm pod droop
3.5mm ride height
pod level
I will see how this runs and let you know.

anyone had problems with the motor moving forwards in a shunt ?

I normally run my mesh a bit lose and that could have caused the teeth on the spur to wear and start to break a bit.

the spur was new that day and it's not damaged from what i can see
the motor has moved enough along the pod plate that the pinion is no longer in contact with the spur

Are you doing this test on asphalt or carpet Jason?
If your motor has moved that much you must have hit a board/object square and hard or the motor screws are way loose. Another cause could be if your using a washer for the motor screws thats not metal. I used to use a plastic shim and it would slide if I hit something hard.

in the year I've been running my DB12R I've only had that happen to me once. I just didn't have the screws tight enough.

I then change down 1 tooth on the pinion for a good mesh without moving the motor.
It's moved along the podplate without loosening the screws :S

I'm going to try a new set of pod plates this weekend and a different motor. I'm currently using cap head M3x6mm screws (2mm hex) to hold it in place, perhaps I should try a slightly longer screw and a washer to grip the podplate ?
Didn't see about loctite, will try that first

Jason, (or anyone for that matter) can you please explain what changing the front droop does for the cars handling.
ie; changing from 3 shims to 2 shims above the upper pivot ball.
Is there an optimum difference in tire dia from front to rear? Perhaps a ratio you can use like the rear tires are for example should be 1.05 times bigger than the fronts.
