It may make the car slightly heavier..but at least the bearings/diffs will stay in line. Look at the 'Cuda R2... it has aluminum bulkheads. I've seen that car run...

rc-zombies have a question? i've just finished assembling the kit and the drivetrain seems not as free as ide like it to be. Do you recommend running the car a few times? i'm already thinking of taking out shims, dremel etc.

yes..the car looks great!!!!

The only things I've done to my car is change all the bearings to Teflon sealed, Rayspeed O-rings & bladders, MIP CVD Front and rear. Everything is stock. I did lube the diff gears with Whitelightning. It's a dry self cleaning was lubricant that can be found at bike shops. I would send you some...but I don't have any relative going back there 'til Nov./Dec.

I broke the drivetrain in @ 5volts for about 30min. So far I haven't had any problems with the drivetrain.

Try flushing out your bearings and lube with lighter oil...

Hi guys. Greetings from Malta.

Just a quickie. I'm charging some cells and off to try out the SD.

Just finished building. Everything fitted perfectly. Diffs are as smooth and free as anything. Lots smoother than all the TC3s I've built.

I turned the servo 90 drgrees. Used titanium screws everywhere. MR4 alloy drive shafts, and MR4 Special battery hold down fits straight on, keeps things cooler, and looks trick!

I've done quite a bit more but will tell you all about it later. Now I'm off to the track to see what it goes like. If it goes anything like it looks............................

I am thinking of doing that as well.

I have been driving Yokomo YR-4M2 PRO for 4 years same car, same Servo and same Dubble Sided 3M tape with a little bit of a Shoe Goo around the edge of the Servo.. Never had a problem.

I probably would do the same with this one. That way I will have more room to play with the Electronics stuff.

I am getting rid of the original battery holder (strap) or whatever you called it... I'm going for st8 Strapping Tape, since on the chassis have the slots made from factory already.

I might have to make the slots just a tad bigger.

Hi Guys,

Yokomo has released the titanium screw kit and I think we should have them by monday. If I remember correctly, they are pretty cheap too for a complete set.

I am building my SD at the moment and I am wondering If I should use a chassis protective film. Although i seems to be very tricky cutting out all the holes and slots..

Has anyone of you used it?
