Yokomo MR-4TC SD

I'd think they went back to the SSG for the added flex. Especially from Masami's experience from the PreWorlds on how slick the track got. I still prefer my RS chassis to the CGM on asphalt. I even thought about switching back to the SSG for the remainer of the year. But only cuz I wanna run the silver look again..

If Masami or Billy wins with an SSG, a lot of people will be switching back...lol.

Does anyone have a good carpet setup for the ssg? I run a small tight course and am having a hard time finding setup sheets for carpet.

Hi Guys,
Just want to post a quick note on Masami's car, he was also running one of our spools for the MR-4TCSD, and will probably run it again at the worlds and also at the Japan nationals later on in the year

You should raise the inner camber link position when doing this to keep the geometry sensible. I also run spacers under the inner steering arm balljoint to stop bumpsteer. [/B]

Mabuchi540,
You can try leaving the camber link in the same position you have it now. If the car pushes raise the inner ball stud up one hole on the tower. Moving the camber link up and/or making it longer gives more traction on either end of the car I believe.
Good luck,
Blake
P.S. Speedtech/Steve, thanks for the great service and info!

I am not sure if there are any pictures available of Eastons and or Masami's cars but i did see Easton at a race a few weeks ago and he was using the SSG chassis. I believe he ran that chassis at the ROAR nats as well.

New to on-road side of things just wondering question 3....
A few days ago when I got to the rolling chassis stage I put on a set of (what others have called bashing tires) and pushed it along a wooden bench and the thing nearly went off the edge before I caught it lol.
Anyway I'm just finising it off so have put on some decent (read better than the bashing tires) Yokomo hotlap G2's and tried the same thing as before but this time the car barely moved and when I went to pick it up it sounded like I was pulling off sellotape it was that sticky.
So the just curious question is are the tires supposed to be that sticky before they're even had a run to warm up?
Some sort of mold release that needs washing off perhaps?
If so I think I've discovered an alternate form of lint remover, just run the car up and down your shirts.

Dicort,
Easton was racing on a super high traction assphalt track with the ssg. There arent many, if any, carpet tracks in the area where he lives so I dont know if he has had a chance to run the car on carpet yet.
Mabuchi,
My first set of Sorex tires did the same thing, they are super sticky out of the package. Nothing needs to be scrubbed off by hand.
Have fun,
Blake
