Try making the roll camber link longer and higher.

I have a Yok SD for sale in the for sale forum. It's the black chassis with a lot of hop ups. The drive train is all tobee craft with graphite suspension and stock spares. Need to sell. Take a look if you're interested. Only been raced 10 minutes.
Thanks,
John

I did it for the front only and it helped.

In the SD manual, On page 19 it shows you how to assemble the lower suspension arms. On the left hand side of the page it says the following.

2 Types of spacers are included.
Unkeyed shim = for height adjustments.
Keyed Shim = for skid angle adjustments.

Could someone please explain this to me and what each does and where exactly to put them.

They put under suspension mount. Unkeyed shim is for height and keyed for kick-up or anti-squat.

Yes but why would you raise the height of the suspension mount? what would it do exactly and how would it alter the cars handling? For the keyed for kick up or anti-squat what do you do to alter these ? when you add them, where abouts do you add them exactly and what effect does it have?

Hi Guys,

The Speed Tech R/C Yokomo MR-4TCSD Spools are in stock now and available online. Look for Yokomo factory drivers running our spools at large events this year

If you adjust the height, the lower it is the better it is for low traction surfaces. . . .

Raising/lowering the suspension arm mounts can affect both roll centre and kick-up/anti-squat.

Roll-centre - raising the inner mounts will raise the roll centre. This usually encourages less body roll - I find that up front it's a good way of smoothing the steering response, with slightly less grip. At the rear it can make the car a bit looser. There is also an effect on the camber change - more negative camber under compression, which adds more complexity to the equation...

Kick-Up - used to refer to a greater angle between the front wishbones and the chassis. More kick-up will give a better ride, and a slightly softer behaving front end under braking. More kick-up may also make the car slower to react while steering under braking. Less kick-up will affect the ride, but also make the front end a bit more responsive while steering under braking. As standard, the SD has 1 degree of front kick-up. More kick-up will also increase caster, all other adjustments remaining equal.

Anti-Squat - used to refer to the angle between the rear wishbones and the chassis. Works like kick-up, partially in reverse. More anti-squat will give a better ride, and also make the back end more responsive to throttle changes, with a shade less grip. Less will have the opposite effect. The SD has 0 degrees of anti-squat as standard - I would never go negative with the anti-squat (i.e. raising the rear of the wishbone above the front).

Matt, say it ain't so! At least everyone gets to move up one spot on the grid.

There are hobby shops in Korea...so there's gotta be racing right?
