LCG STEERING QUESTION
G'day All,
Ran my LCG today and noticed that I have more steering throw one side than the other. When I check the steering rack itself I notice that the centre ball cup on the steering rack binds on the post on the right front,(looking from the front of the car) whereas the left does not bind. I had adjusted on the EPA, however this placed to much stress on the servo. The steering rack is the standard one that came with the conversion kit. I think that the steering rack with 1.5 degree ackerman will do the same.
I am wondering if I move the steering servo saver over more will this fix the problem, I believe it is over more than the one spline to the right.
See attached photo's, any assistance appreciated. As seen in first photo the steering rack is central and car tracks straight. Minimal servo trim being used. Second photo shows central steering rack binding on post and still missing full steering throw.
Pops,
Running the 2 degree rear toe sure gave the car more steering and felt alot more stable on the track. Just need to fix the steering throw and it will be on the money.
Cheers
Calvin.

when i had my lcg i noticed the same problem, there was no way of sorting it out apart from filing the belcrank down so it didnt touch, you cut abit off the end of the balljoint but then you risk it popping off

this may sound like a domb question but do you need that triangle limiter in the shocks or can i run with out them.

I think that triangle piece adds support to the shock shaft. I wouldn't remove it...but that's just me
