I didn't take pics, but I think I can explain it, the half with the teeth is actually the side that faces the pack, so moving that closer to the spur gets more clearance. You don't trim the middle of the other side, that part engages the pin on the shaft. You will need a smaller or ground down shim on the spur side, and additional shims on the other side, this will move the whole shaft towards the big belt where more clearance is needed.

Would it not be easier to get a pack that fits rather then hacking the car up to make it fit?

The SMC 5000 won't fit but I hear that the SMC 4000 will.

Why dont you just buy the Losi 5000 pack. fits perfectly.

5000 SMC pack will fit it just takes a lot of work.

No point in getting into a Nimh vs lipo debate, but lets just say since I am not the driver that can make use of .03v difference, I will not be going to back to Nimh. My Orion 4800 cycled at 7.01 av, the smc pack was like taking a few winds off my motor in comparison, so yeah it's worth a little extra work, and hell we drive Losi's, a little dremel work is expected.
