The shim you refer to is actually a form of a slipper and if you noticed you only have one true D ring. The other one does not have a notch in it. Just clean the grease off the rings and put the spool pulley on and make it tight. Not so much that you strip the threaded outdrive out, there has to be some give to it.

Works like a charm. I know there's only 1 D-ring, Easier to explain it that way, plus helps out if people are reading, most understand what a D-ring is.

D-ring goes on D-outdrive and is held together by d-screw. LMAO Sorry just had to do it.

I'm going into battle tomorrow for the last club race before the nats. Gotta see if my set up works at this track. If it does....then I'm dialed because this is where I'm racing for the remainder of the summer.

Thanks bro. My buddies are racing at the nats track right now and they told me it's very high bite and tight as hell. Even though the layout will be changing for the nats the high bite is something that we aren't really use to. The normal set up's don't seem to be working for my boys right now (maybe they should have bought a Losi) I'm hoping that the thicker chassis the Losi has helps with the high bite.

oh man, i raced stock tonight for the first time in a few years. picked up a new 13.5 pro and geared it to the moon. my car worked awesome, and qualified 3rd on pace with some of the fastest stock guys in the area. the main i did ok, lets just say i was "stress testing" the new a-arms... but i finished and not too far off 3rd.

between the new arms and my hybrid xxxs/cyclone cvd's front and rear, the car was absolutely bulletproof.
