If you plan on running the 13.5, I hope you've got some BIIIIIIIG pinion gears. There's not much hope of running anything lower than 108T spur. A 100T with 41T pinion was about a mile off. :-O

I guess I'm just a gimp. The PRS thing is working fine now, I just made the slot longer with the dremel. I guess I could have filed the pin too. Now I've just got a snug fit so that the layshaft can't move side to side at all. I checked everything mentioned here and still no luck.

Mounting a GTB in this sucker has been interesting. I ended up having to do it like the picture of Todd's car. Otherwise, the belt is in the way and the ESC is hanging off the side too much.

I just snatched up 49-56 from PRS. Crazy, these huge pinions look goofy next to the spur.

I hope the handling far out ways some of the little things about the car I do not like. I am not crazy about the battery tray in this car. I like the old one with two screws better. Installing electronics on this thing is really tight and stuff does over hang the chassis. I run a GTX and it still over hangs the chassis a little. I am probably going to purchase a micro Spektrum receiver in the future for I don't like how the regular one hangs off the chassis.

I do have to say I had no issues building it though and thought it went together well. I also like how the up limit adjustment brackets are now part of the arms. The diff tubes and indrives are really nice. Diffs will be so much easier to work on now since it is four screws and it is out.

The transponder worked out fine for me even though I don't have ears on it anymore. It just fits on the chassis in back of the roll center brace with the velcro I normally used to install it.

I only need to change my wires on my speedo and put the thing on a setup station and all will be done. I only wish I had somewhere to run it now!!

The SLR was dead, so I had to grab my wife's crappy camera which seems to struggle with, well, anything related to creating digital photographs in focus. Anyway, here's the completed monster with 13.5, GTB and Carbon LiPo. We're DEFINITELY going to need a weighted LiPo tray, I don't see how we can make weight without putting it on the outside of the chassis.

For the brushless folks, it seems like an ESC designed like the Genius 95 up on its side might make more sense on this chassis to keep things from hanging over too much. Too bad Orion canned their version of it. :-(

For those that have built their cars...

how hard will it be to remove bearings for cleaning. is it a 30 min marathon, followed by a complete rebuild, or is it a 5 min easy job?

How good are the bearings? I was going to get a set of ceramics when they are available. Any thoughts?

Whaaaaa 4 screws...

actually, you only need 2. The lip in the front will hold it in just fine. Personally, i run all 4, but i think Kevin Hebert runs just 2.

so i take it everyone has enjoyed the build process of the car and we can read some results and how it went on the track... also how were the instructions, i read on here someone said they might be close to how xray has there instructions. If thats the case then that is very nice to see.

Nice wiring setup. WOw that looks like a tight fit and especially for brushless setups since they are still a little bigger than most brushed setups. Did a nice job figuring all the wiring out though.

Be interesting to see what you think of it after you have a chance to run it. Does look pretty cool.

I will post pics of mine when I get the chance. I mounted my Sphere on it's side. I think it will be fine that way.

Keith B...you don't think anyone is running the camber mod on carpet? Why do you say that? What's it for? Hodge, care to weigh in here?

Also, if anyone needs a PRS adapter in blue w/extra 128 spur (2 spurs total) give me a shout. A friend of mine is getting out and gave one to me.
