Does this new pillow ball type suspension mean a ta09 is coming over the horizon? The ta08r has just launched, and the r models tend to be the last of a model iteration... unless tamiya does a rr... or rrr

I have seen similar cars run with a two-piece topdeck before – What are the advatages and disadvantages over choosing one or the other? I assume the single piece will result in less overall flex and be better suited for high grip situations, correct?

Correct. It’s for more added flex. I just picked up the split for my Cero Ultra.. to test out

A different flex profile but every manufacture affects are different. On my mtc2, the split deck felt easier drive from me. There wasn't necessarily a lap time difference but it was for easier to maintain a faster pace. But everyone has their opinion on what they feel.

Sorry but you're three days too late with your comment We have since moved past all of the people who where never going to buy this kit in the first place and hope to have a good discussion on the details and potential performance. Please come back in 2 years for the next Tamiya release we appreciate your input!
