With the GT2 that just came out from AE it was in a factory team form but there was still some parts you could buy to tune the car a bit more.
I am sure AE has been watching this thread and taking notes. The car will be good out of the box with some upgrades I am sure.

A nitro version, imo, to be competitive at all, will be an entirely different car, with maybe only a few interchangable items.
Nitro means, more wieght, better durability, three belts(Centered Gas tank, battery, etc. make it req'd, or the chassis is compromised) going by the most competitive sedans out now.
I think the new car will be AS good, but "better" will be tuff, since it seems tires(available traction) and drivers are the limiting factor between all the top sedans now. I think roll centers, weight dist., total wieght, CG, driveline configuration, arm length, etc have all been worked pretty thouroughly at this point.
The AE car will bring more readily available parts to the US drivers and also the AE name, potentially better pricing, but that will usually depend on what the market will bear too.
Of course like everyone else, I still want one, LOL.

It should be interesting to see the pricing on this car. lol
I'll keep my opinion to my self, but I won't buy one.
