Most likely you are overgeared...but what are your belt tension settings?

also, if a speedo comes with a capacitor, I would recomend using it..

Are you using a spool?
If so check out this thread http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=175872 I believe John was having the same trouble and he found that the wheel hexes were slightly too small for the hex in the wheels so the wheels were rocking back & forward on accel/decel and causing the nuts to loosen, he fixed it by going to some Losi hexes I believe which are a tighter fit in the wheel

Has anyone run asphalt with jaco blue rubber tires yet. We are switching to them from cs-27's and wonder if there is quite a difference or not.
Thanks

bob stellflue BQ and won the b main with ease

The car with the hard suspension parts and the setup rob king posted the car was totally dialed!!!

Thanks
I ran Jaco blues at the end of the summer...they are a larger diameter than CS/RP tires...because of the size I had to change down-travel and ride hight and thats about it.

nope, did not see the novak race. when they raced in cleveland the factory drivers had the prototype parts and today i see they're released to the public. when i said now we'll see what it will do on carpet, i was talking about the little guy racers, not factory drivers.

The TC5 has had some good results here in South East Queensland - AUS.

Current QLD State Champion 07 in Stock
Just took 1st and 3rd in Stock at the Presidents Cup at the Bayside club. A small race that was very competitive.

Couple of questions............

Is the current 35wt Number 2 pistons still the choice for Asphalt Rubber tyres, or has there been some further developments.

What handling changes does changing the diff heights make to the car, for Asphalt Rubber tyre?

Cheers
Aaron

Sorry for all the questions,

If I were to change the Arm holders from say #1's to #3's in the same configuration, what handling changes would that cause?

Cheers

#1 arm mount (low roll center) - for low traction surface, more stable.
#3 arm mount (high roll center) - more aggressive, less stable, tight layout recommended

Put the setup I posted on the car and drive. All will be revealed.

Raising the diff will result in more onpower traction in the end you raised the diff. For example, putting the front diff to the highest position and rear diff to the lowest position will give you the most onpower steering and vice versa. I normally run mine mid low both ends, sometimes mid high in the front. If the driveshafts are straight your car will the more neutral on and off power. The driveshafts try to straighten out when accelerating which causes the handling effects.
