opening easy
Gday, opening the can is the easist thing to do, hold can in hand, with the brush end up and the shaft end down, drop hard against a peice of wood, presto, falls apart. Now the question is, get the bastard back together again, i was a scrutineer and I wanted to see if it could be done without being seen and leaving marks. I have tried on three motors and can not do it, i know someone can with a week to spare and you can come on here and say that, but for what it is worth, just get another motor and run it in. I caught a cheat many years ago in Canberra off road with a stock arm in a silver can and caught him out with little marks left behind, but that is another storey, .................eh Darryn

btw what is your preferred method of breaking in the bushings, and how do you tell a good break-in from a not good break-in. its easy to see if the comm is crap, but how do you tell if the bushing are crap?
